Abstract

The present invention provides a package that can secure a large space for adding a design and information, and can enhance its appeal to consumers.

This invention relates generally to packaging, and more specifically to packaging for bottles.

Patent Document 1 discloses a bottle container. This bottle container has a front plate (2a), a side plate (4a), a rear plate (2b), and a side plate (4b) connected endlessly to form a cylindrical body (22). Both side plates (4a, 4b) have retaining holes (14) cut out in the middle and are bent vertically at a position that cuts through the retaining holes (14) to protrude inside the bottle container. A spacing retaining means (6b, 23) is provided to keep both side plates (4a, 4b) in a folded state so that the gap between the front plate (2a) and the rear plate (2b) does not widen. A bottle (A) is fitted into both retaining holes (14, 14) and fixed by both side plates (4a, 4b).

However, in the bottle container described in Patent Document 1, both side panels are always open, so the bottles are partially exposed, and the space available for adding designs and information to the bottle container is small, limiting the designs that can be expressed and the information that can be written, which lacks appeal to consumers. The package according to one aspect of the present invention is a polygonal prism-shaped package having an internal storage space for storing items. 1. Overview The package 1 is in the shape of a polygonal prism and has a storage space 2 therein for storing an item 10. The package 1 has a polygonal top surface 3 located at the top of the storage space 2, a polygonal bottom surface 4 located at the bottom of the storage space 2, and a plurality of rectangular side surfaces 5 located around the periphery of the storage space 2. At least one of the plurality of rectangular side surfaces 5 is a door 6 that opens and closes like a double door. The door 6 allows the item 10 to be inserted and removed.

Since the package 1 of the present invention has the above-mentioned configuration, it is possible to provide a package that can secure a large space in which designs and information can be added, and that can increase the package's appeal to consumers. In addition, it is possible to provide a package that can protect stored items against impacts from all directions, does not require the items to be lifted to a high position when removing them, and reduces the possibility of damage to the items due to dropping them.

In this invention, "double doors" refers to a system in which the movable end of the door section 6 rotates to the left or right around the non-movable end of the door section 6 as an axis to open. In other words, as long as the door section 6 opens and closes like a double door, its structure is not limited, and it may be one in which one side section is divided into two, or two or more sections may overlap in the front-to-back direction, such as the inner lid 6a and outer lid 6b described below.

2. Details The following describes the embodiments and their modifications shown in the attached drawings of the present invention. Note that the following embodiments are merely a part of the various embodiments of the present invention. In addition, the following embodiments can be modified in various ways depending on the design, etc., as long as the object of the present invention can be achieved. The drawings referred to below are schematic drawings, and the dimensional ratios of the components in the drawings do not necessarily reflect the actual dimensional ratios.

(Embodiment)
1 shows a package 1 according to this embodiment. The package 1 is a paper molded product made of paper such as thick paper or corrugated cardboard. The size of the package 1 is not particularly limited, but it is preferably a size capable of storing an item 10 such as a 4-cup bottle filled with a beverage, having a height of 300 mm and a maximum width of 80 mm.

The package 1 according to this embodiment has an equilateral triangular top surface 3, an equilateral triangular bottom surface 4, and three rectangular side surfaces 5. The top surface 3 and bottom surface 4 are congruent equilateral triangles and are arranged to face each other in the vertical direction. The three side surfaces 5 are each congruent rectangular, with the long sides extending in the vertical direction and the short sides perpendicular to the vertical direction. The three side surfaces 5 are arranged perpendicular to the top surface 3 and bottom surface 4. That is, the package 1 is formed in the shape of an equilateral triangular prism by the top surface 3, bottom surface 4, and three side surfaces 5. The top surface 3, bottom surface 4, and three side surfaces 5 of the package 1 are each molded independently, and the package 1 is formed by adhering them together with an adhesive or the like.

The package 1 forms a storage space 2 with a top surface portion 3, a bottom surface portion 4, and three side surfaces 5 (see, for example, FIG. 6). That is, the top surface portion 3 is located at the top of the storage space 2, the bottom surface portion 4 is located at the bottom of the storage space 2, and the three side surfaces 5 are located around the storage space 2. The storage space 2 has the same shape as the package 1, and is a regular triangular prism. The storage space 2 is formed, so that an item 10 can be stored inside the package 1. The size of the storage space 2 is not particularly limited, but it is preferably large enough that the item 10 can contact all of the side surfaces 5 as shown in FIG. 3. In this case, the movement of the item 10 in the storage space 2 is suppressed, thereby reducing the possibility of damage to the item 10.

The bottom portion 4 has a raised bottom structure (see FIG. 2). Therefore, the surface 41 of the bottom portion 4 facing the storage space 2 is at a different position in the vertical direction from the imaginary surface 42 that contacts all of the lower short sides of the three side portions 5 located on the opposite side (this difference in position is sometimes referred to as the "height H of the bottom portion 4"). Because the bottom portion 4 has such a raised bottom structure, if the package 1 containing the item 10 is dropped, the impact of the drop is less likely to be transmitted to the item 10, reducing the possibility of the item 10 being damaged. The height H of the bottom portion 4 is not particularly limited and is designed appropriately depending on the size of the item 10 to be stored.

Of the three side portions 5 of the package 1 according to this embodiment, the one located on the front side is the door portion 6. The door portion 6 includes an inner lid 6a and an outer lid 6b. The size of the door portion 6, the inner lid 6a, and the outer lid 6b is approximately the same as that of one side portion 5. When the inner lid 6a is closed as shown in FIG. 4, the inner lid 6a faces the storage space 2. When the door portion 6 is closed as shown in FIG. 1, the outer lid 6b is located outside the inner lid 6a. In other words, when the door portion 6 is closed, the outer lid 6b is located forward of the inner lid 6a, and the outer lid 6b is arranged to cover and conceal approximately the entire surface of the inner lid 6a when viewed from the front.

In the door section 6 of the package 1 according to this embodiment, the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b open and close like double doors. This mechanism for opening and closing like double doors can be explained as follows. First, as shown in FIG. 4, the outer lid 6b moves to open to the left, with the left long side as the axis. Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the inner lid 6a moves to open to the right, with the right long side as the axis. This causes the door section 6 to open like double doors, exposing the storage space 2 as shown in FIG. 6. In other words, the item 10 can be stored in and removed from the storage space 2 of the package 1. In other words, the item 10 can be put in and taken out by opening and closing the door section 6.

Furthermore, since the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b of the door section 6 open and close like a double door, a large space can be secured for providing designs and information. To be more specific, in conventional packages where the sides do not open like a double door, designs and information that are highly appealing to consumers can be provided only on the surface facing outward, but it was difficult to provide them on other parts. However, in the package 1 according to this embodiment, since the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b of the door section 6 open and close like a double door, it is possible to secure space for providing designs and information that are highly appealing to consumers on both sides of the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b. In addition, since the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b open like a double door, as shown in FIG. 6, there is a space that allows the storage space 2 to be seen widely, and therefore a space can be secured on the storage space 2 side of the side section 5 where designs and information that are highly appealing to consumers can be provided. Therefore, the package 1 according to this embodiment can secure a large space for providing designs and information, and can increase its appeal to consumers.

The inner lid 6a has two windows 7 (see, for example, FIG. 4). The position of the windows 7 is not particularly limited, but when the item 10 to be stored is a 4-cup bottle with a height of 300 mm and a maximum width of 80 mm, it is preferable that the window 7 is located in a position where the top and bottom of the item 10 can be seen, as shown in FIG. 5. When the window 7 is located in a position where the top of the item 10 can be seen, the lid part of the item 10 can be seen, so it is possible to check whether there is a seal, i.e., whether the item is unopened. When the window 7 is located in a position where the bottom of the item 10 can be seen, the label part of the item 10 can be seen, so it is possible to check information about the item 10 and improve the design of the package 1.

Each of the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b has one first fastener 8a and one second fastener 8b (see, for example, FIG. 2). Furthermore, the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b are arranged so as to face each other when the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b are closed. As a result, the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b are in close contact with each other with almost no gap, so that the door section 6 can be easily closed. The position of the first fastener 8a is not particularly limited, but for example, in the package 1 in which the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b are open as shown in FIG. 6, it is the center part of the left long side of the inner lid 6a. The position of the second fastener 8b is not particularly limited, but for example, in the package 1 in which the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b are open as shown in FIG. 6, it is the center part of the left long side of the outer lid 6b. The material of the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b is not particularly limited, but for example, a combination of magnets or a combination of a magnet and a metal that is attracted to a magnet can be mentioned. That is, it is preferable that at least one selected from the group consisting of the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b is a magnet. The shapes of the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b are not particularly limited, but examples include a rectangular shape and a circular shape. The sizes of the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b are not particularly limited.

The package 1 according to this embodiment further includes a support portion 9 (see FIG. 1, for example). The support portion 9 is disposed on the side of the upper surface portion 3 facing the storage space 2. That is, the support portion 9 is located below the upper surface portion 3. The shape of the support portion 9 is a regular triangular shape, which is the same shape as the upper surface portion 3, with a part of the triangle removed into a U-shape, and this U-shaped removed part is the fitting portion 91 (see FIG. 3). The upper end of the item 10 fits into this fitting portion 91, so that the support portion 9 can support the upper end of the item 10 as shown in FIG. 1. This suppresses the movement of the item 10 in the storage space 2, thereby reducing the possibility of damage to the item 10. The material of the support portion 9 is not particularly limited, but examples thereof include synthetic resins such as urethane resin, paper such as corrugated cardboard, metal, and cloth. The size, shape, etc. of the support portion 9 and the fitting portion 91 are not particularly limited, and are appropriately designed according to the supported portion of the upper end of the item 10.

The above-mentioned embodiments are merely a part of various embodiments of the present invention. The following embodiments can be modified in various ways according to the design, etc., as long as the object of the present invention can be achieved.

In the above embodiment, the package 1 is described as having a regular triangular prism shape, but this is not limited thereto. The package 1 may have a polygonal prism shape, such as a square, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, or octagon, in which the top surface 3 and bottom surface 4 are shaped like a rectangle, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, or octagon. The package 1 may also be a right-angled prism or an oblique prism.

In the above embodiment, the package 1 is described as being manufactured by bonding the top surface 3, bottom surface 4, and three side surface portions 5, which are each independently formed from cardboard, with the package 1 being manufactured by gluing them together with an adhesive or the like, but this is not limited thereto. The package 1 may also be formed by folding a single sheet of cardboard.

In the above embodiment, the case where the bottom portion 4 is a raised bottom has been described, but this is not limiting. The bottom portion 4 may not be a raised bottom, that is, the height H of the bottom portion 4 excluding the thickness of the cardboard may be zero.

In the above embodiment, a case where one side portion 5 is the door portion 6 has been described, but this is not limited to the above. Two or more side portions 5 may be the door portion 6. In particular, in the above modified example, in the case of a pentagonal prism or later, the short side of one side portion may be smaller than the maximum width of the article 10, so it is preferable that two or more side portions 5 are door portions 6. Furthermore, when two or more side portions 5 are door portions 6, the size of the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b may be approximately the same as the entire door portion 6, or may be smaller than the entire door portion 6.

In the above embodiment, the door section 6 includes an inner lid 6a and an outer lid 6b, but this is not limited to the above. As long as the door section 6 opens and closes like a double door, its structure is not limited, and one side section 5 may be divided into two, each of which opens to the left and right.

In the above embodiment, the inner lid 6a has two windows 7, but this is not limited to this. The inner lid 6a may have only one window 7, or may have three or more windows 7. Furthermore, the positions of these windows 7 are not particularly limited.

In the above embodiment, the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b each have one first fastener 8a and one second fastener 8b, but this is not limited to the above. There may be two or more first fasteners 8a and two or more second fasteners 8b.

In the above embodiment, the case where each of the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b has one first fastener 8a and one second fastener 8b has been described, but this is not limited to the above. The inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b may not have the first fastener 8a and the second fastener 8b, and the door section 6 may be closed by inserting one of the inner lid 6a and the outer lid 6b into the other.

In the above embodiment, the case where the support portion 9 is arranged only on the storage space 2 side of the top surface portion 3 has been described, but this is not limited thereto. The support portion 9 may also be arranged on the bottom surface portion 4 and the side surface portion 5. In this case, the shape of the support portion 9 is not particularly limited and is appropriately designed depending on the item 10 to be stored. In addition, it is not necessary for the support portion 91 to be included.

In the above embodiment, a case where no cushioning material is used is described, but this is not limited to this. Methods of using cushioning material include directly attaching the cushioning material to the item 10 to be stored, placing the cushioning material in the empty storage space 2, etc. Examples of cushioning material include air bubble cushioning, foam cushioning, air cushioning, paper, cloth, etc., but are not particularly limited to these.

As is apparent from the above embodiment, the present invention includes the following aspects. In the following, reference symbols are given in parentheses only to clarify the correspondence with the embodiment.

The fourth aspect is a package (1) based on the third aspect. In the fourth aspect, each of the inner lid (6a) and the outer lid (6b) has a first fastener (8a) and a second fastener (8b), respectively. The first fastener (8a) and the second fastener (8b) are arranged to face each other when the inner lid (6a) and the outer lid (6b) are closed. At least one of the first fastener (8a) and the second fastener (8b) is a magnet.

According to this embodiment, the inner lid (6a) and the outer lid (6b) fit together with almost no gaps, so the door section (6) can be easily closed.

The fifth aspect is a package (1) based on any one of the first to fourth aspects. In the fifth aspect, the package (1) further includes a support portion (9) on the side of the upper surface portion (3) facing the storage space (2). The support portion (9) supports the upper end of the item (10).

According to this embodiment, the movement of the item (10) within the storage space (2) is suppressed, thereby reducing the possibility of damage to the item (10).
