Description

This invention relates to a storage garage that protects stored items such as motorcycles and bicycles from rain and dew.

Conventionally, various types of motorcycle garages have been proposed to protect motorcycles from rain and dew.
For example, Patent Document 1 proposes a garage for motorcycles in which a pipe frame covered with a rain cover is used as the roof, and the roof is rotatably attached to the upper part of a pair of posts. Since the roof is only made of the rain cover, this structure has excellent ventilation and prevents condensation from forming inside the garage.

Patent Document 2 discloses a sheet-covered structure that can be used as a motorcycle garage, in which a sheet constituting the roof and a sheet constituting the sides are stretched over a frame member.
On the other hand, a method of fastening a tarp tent or the like to a pole or the like is carried out using tent weights.

With the configurations of the motorcycle garages described in Patent Documents 1 and 2, when exposed to strong winds there was a risk that the motorcycle garage would move or tip over, knocking over the motorcycles inside, and there was a problem that the motorcycles (two-wheeled vehicles) and stored items could not be adequately protected.
It is also possible to use tent weights in a motorcycle garage, but the shape and purpose of the weights are different, making it difficult to use and requiring the purchase of new tent weights.

The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the prior art.
The object of the present invention is to provide a storage garage that can be secured in place with a simple and inexpensive structure and that looks good.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a storage garage that has a simple and inexpensive structure, reduces the economic burden on users, and allows the degree of fixation of the garage to be adjusted according to the situation.

This invention makes it possible to provide a storage garage that can be secured in place with a simple and inexpensive structure and looks good. The storage garage 1 is configured to preferably accommodate items such as bicycles and motorcycles (two-wheeled vehicles). However, at the discretion of the user, other moving objects and items that do not tolerate rain, dew, or dust can also be appropriately stored in addition to motorcycles.

In this specification, "storage" refers to a state in which movable objects, items, etc. placed in the storage garage 1 are covered to a certain extent by the cloth portion and are protected from rain and dew, etc., compared to when there is no cloth portion.
The framework 3 is made up of components such as support posts, rods such as pipes, and frame members, which are connected by joints to form a garage-shaped framework. When not in use, the framework can be disassembled into specified units for compact storage.

In this embodiment, an example is shown in which the framework 3 includes a side support portion 5, a roof rod portion 10, a lower horizontal flat rod portion 26, a lower vertical rod portion 20, and an upper vertical rod portion 21 to form a rain and dew protection space 2.
The side support 5 has front support parts 5a, 5a located on the left and right sides of the front side, intermediate support parts 5b, 5b located in the middle, and rear support parts 5c, 5c located on the rear side. The number of intermediate support parts 5b, 5b is set appropriately according to the vertical and horizontal lengths of the storage garage 1 so as to maintain strength.
The roof rod portion 10 is a rod portion that is connected to the upper ends of the front support portion 5a, the middle support portion 5b, and the rear support portion 5c by joints or the like to form a roof portion 39 having an arch shape, etc., and has a front roof rod portion 10a, a middle roof rod portion 10b, and a rear roof rod portion 10c.

The lower vertical rod portion 20 and the upper vertical rod portion 21 each extend vertically and are rod portions that reinforce the shape of the skeleton portion 3, and a pair of lower vertical rod portions 20 and upper vertical rod portions 21 are provided on the left and right. The tips of the lower vertical rod portions 20, 20 are bent upward to form the front support portions 5a, 5a. The rear ends of the lower vertical rod portions 20, 20 are also bent upward to form the rear support portions 5c, 5c. The lower portions of the middle support portions 5b, 5b are detachably attached to the middle positions of the lower vertical rod portions 20, 20 by joints.
The upper vertical rods 21, 21 are provided at the mid-height position of the garage and are respectively connected to each of the support pillars 5a to 5c by joints not shown.

By constructing the framework 3, a garage-shaped side section 38, a front section 36, a rear section 37, and a roof section 39 are formed. As shown in Figure 2, the side section 38 is used to include not only the left and right side sections 38, but also the front section 36 and the rear section 37.

In the storage garage 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, the front section 36 and rear section 37 are used as entrances and exits for motorcycles. The front section 36 is provided with a front cloth section 32, and the rear section 37 is provided with a rear cloth section 33. Furthermore, both the front cloth section 32 and the rear cloth section 33 are made up of openable cloth sections 34. A roll-up cloth section is used as an example of the openable cloth section 34, and a pair of cloth section holding members 35 are attached to the front roof beam 10a. As the openable cloth section 34, it is also possible to use other known openable cloth section configurations other than the roll-up cloth section.

(Lower horizontal flat rod)
The lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 is a member that extends horizontally across the surface portion that serves as the entrance and exit, reinforcing the shape of the framework portion 3. The lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 is a member that can also be considered a ground beam. The lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 is configured so that its vertical cross-sectional shape is flat so that the wheels of a motorcycle can easily climb over it. The lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 is provided in two places, on the front surface portion 36 side and the rear surface portion 37 side. Each of the two lower horizontal flat rod portions 26 is provided with a reinforcing uneven strip portion (e.g., a bead) that extends horizontally.

The lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 has slide mounting portions 40 at both ends of the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 so that the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 can move in the front-rear direction relative to the lower vertical rod portion 20. The slide mounting portion 40 is, for example, composed of a cylindrical sliding body that engages with the lower vertical rod portion 20, and is configured so that it can be fixed at any position of the lower vertical rod portion 20 with a fastener such as a bolt. The slide mounting portion 40 can be composed of a known slide member such as a U-shaped fitting body that fits externally to the lower vertical rod portion 20 other than the cylindrical sliding body. The slide mounting portion 40 is also provided on the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 that is bridged over the rear surface portion 37 side. Both the front slide mounting portion 40 and the rear slide mounting portion 40 can slide inward to the intermediate support portion 5b, so that even if the motorcycle is small and has a short overall length, the weight of the motorcycle can be used to increase the stability of the motorcycle garage by placing the tires on the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26. In addition, a pair of lower horizontal flat rod portions 26 with slide mounting portions 40 attached to the inside of the fixed lower horizontal flat rod portions 26 that do not move and maintain the shape of the skeleton portion 3 may be provided.

The garage fabric portion 4, which is detachably attached to the framework 3 that makes up the storage garage 1, has at least a side fabric portion 15 that covers the side portion 38 and a roof fabric portion 16 that covers the roof portion 39. In the garage cloth portion 4, it is preferable to construct the roof cloth portion 16 and the pair of left and right side cloth portions 15 as a single cloth portion extending from the roof portion 39 to the side portion 38 in terms of fixing the storage garage 1 with the weight of a weight.

In the side cloth portion 15, a weight bag 17 is formed in advance at the lower inside position on the rain and dew protection space 2 side of the storage garage 1. The lower part of the side cloth portion 15 to which the weight bag 17 is attached has a length that reaches the ground. In the configuration shown in Figures 1 and 2, the side cloth portion 15 provided on the side portion 38 has a length that reaches the ground, and is provided with a fold-back portion 42 that folds back outward with a predetermined width on the outside of the storage garage 1. By providing such a fold-back portion 42, it is possible to significantly prevent moisture and dust from entering from the outside.

It is preferable that at least one weight bag 17 is provided on each side cloth portion 15, except for the side portion 38 that serves as an entrance/exit. It is also preferable that a plurality of weight bags 17 are provided in the vertical direction of each side cloth portion 15. FIG. 2 shows a configuration in which two weight bags 17 are provided at the front and rear of one side cloth portion 15, so that a total of four weight bags 17 are provided on the left and right side cloth portions 15. Since the storage garage 1 according to this embodiment has a rectangular shape in a plan view, the weight bags 17 are provided near the four corners of the rectangle. However, since the weight bags 17 are used to fix the storage garage 1 to the ground, the positions of the weight bags 17 attached to the side cloth portions 15 are appropriately set so that the storage garage 1 can be stably fixed according to the garage shape to be adopted.

As shown in Fig. 3, it is preferable that the weight bag 17 has a joining surface 28 in which the outer bag surface is previously connected to the side cloth portion 15, and has an upper opening 18. The weight bag 17 has a volume large enough to store a plastic bottle 29. Specifically, it is preferable that the weight bag 17 is shaped so that a plurality of plastic bottles 29, such as 500 milliliter or 2 liter bottles, can be stored in a line in the front-to-rear direction. However, there are also cases where the weight bag 17 is large enough to store a single plastic bottle 29. It is preferable that at least the bottom area of the weight bag 17 is made of a waterproof material.
FIG. 4 shows the same weight bag 17 with one block stored in it. By placing an object other than the plastic bottle 29 as a weight in the bag, the storage garage 1 can be easily secured in place.

The advantages of the storage garage 1 of this embodiment will be described below.
(1) The weights to be placed in the weight bag 17 can be readily available heavy weights such as water-filled plastic bottles 29 and blocks 30, eliminating the need to spend money on purchasing new weights. In addition, the time and space required to store the weights when the storage garage 1 is not in use is also eliminated.

(2) The weight bag 17 is provided inside the side cloth portion 15, so it looks good. In addition, since it can be implemented simply by forming the weight bag 17 in advance in the side cloth portion 15, it can be widely applied to the side cloth portions of storage garages 1 of various shapes.

(3) The weight bag 17 provided at the bottom of the side cloth portion 15 adheres firmly to the installation surface, making it difficult for water, dust, etc. to enter through gaps at the bottom of the storage garage 1, thereby increasing the protection of the storage garage 1.
(4) The number of weight bags 17 provided on the side fabric portion 15 can be manufactured in advance in accordance with the size and shape of the storage garage 1. In addition, the degree of fixation can be adjusted according to the judgment of each user depending on the weight of the weight bag 17 to be put in. For example, if the garage is installed in a place where there is a possibility of strong winds, the number and weight of weights to be put in the weight bag 17 can be increased, and if the garage is installed in a place where there is no risk of wind or rain, the number and weight of weights to be put in the weight bag 17 can be decreased, and the degree of fixation can be adjusted according to the judgment of the user.

(5) By providing the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 with the slide mounting portion 40, the lower horizontal flat rod portion 26 can be adjusted as needed so that it is positioned where the tires will rest when the user places the motorcycle in the motorcycle garage, allowing the user to improve the motorcycle garage's strong wind protection and tip-over prevention functions at their discretion.

In the above embodiment, the front cloth portion 32 is provided on the front portion 36, and the rear cloth portion 33 is provided on the rear portion 37, and both the front portion 36 and the rear portion 37 are used as entrances and exits for the motorcycle. However, if only one side of the front portion 36 or the rear portion 37 is configured as an entrance and exit, a weight bag 17 can also be provided at the bottom of the cloth portion on the other side that is not the entrance and exit, forming a U-shaped arrangement to improve the stability of the storage garage 1.
