Abstract

[Problem] To provide an envelope containing a paper imitation wind chime that is easy to carry and give as a gift while maintaining the Japanese feel of wind chimes. Description

This invention relates to envelopes, and in particular to envelopes that contain paper imitation wind chimes.

Traditionally, wind chimes have been known to have a glass or metal body hung from a string with a paper strip tied to the bottom end, causing the body to ring when wind blows.

Other examples of wind chimes include those with sail-shaped catchers so that they can make sound even in light winds (see Patent Document 1), and those that use vinyl balloons instead of paper strips (see Patent Document 2).

On the other hand, for example, due to the so-called Japan boom in recent years in foreign countries, Japanese-style goods have become popular.

However, the wind chimes mentioned above are bulky, heavy, and fragile, making them inconvenient to take home as souvenirs or send as gifts.

The purpose of this invention is to provide an envelope containing a paper imitation wind chime that maintains the Japanese character of wind chimes while being easy to carry and give as a gift.

To solve the above problem, the present invention is an envelope that includes a square origami body with a pattern or lettering printed on one side so that it can be folded in origami style to create a regular hexahedral imitation wind chime body, a string to which one end is tied after the imitation wind chime body is created from the origami body, and a paper strip to be tied to the other end of the string.

Next, an envelope according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

In Figure 1, the envelope (see Figure 2) 1 contains a pseudo-wind chime body 2 that is folded in an origami style to form a regular hexahedron, a string 3 that has one end tied to the pseudo-wind chime body 2, and a paper strip 4 that is tied to the other end of the string 3.

As shown in Figure 2, the envelope 1 contains an origami body 2' that is folded in an origami style (before inflating) and has a roughly tortoiseshell shape when viewed from the front, so that it can be used as the artificial wind chime body 2, a string 3, and a strip of paper 4.

As shown in Figure 3(A), the origami body 2' is square before folding, and one side of it is printed with a well-known design that allows even foreigners to imagine Japan (for example, a woman wearing a kimono, an ukiyo-e painting, Mt. Fuji, etc.), and when folded into a roughly regular hexagon as the pseudo-wind chime body 2 as shown in Figure 3(B), the designs on at least the four adjacent vertical sides are printed in the correct direction so that the top and bottom directions can be easily recognized.

Here, as shown in Figure 4(A), the origami body 2' is square before folding, and one side of it is printed with characters such as kanji (including kana) that are popular among foreigners, and as shown in Figure 4(B), when it is folded into a roughly regular hexagon as the pseudo-wind chime body 2, the patterns on at least the four adjacent vertical sides are printed so that they face the correct direction, so that the top and bottom directions can be easily identified.

When these are sold as a kit, the envelope 1 is not sealed, and additional items such as letters can be enclosed.

In addition, when the origami body 2' is folded using well-known origami procedures, the creases are exposed, so by folding it back so that these creases are not visible, the aesthetic visibility of the patterns and letters can be improved.

As shown in FIG. 2(B), the front side of the envelope 1 is made of paper on which stamps, the addressee, the sender, etc. can be written, and as shown in FIG. 2(C), the back side is made of a transparent film so that the pattern or letters on the enclosed origami body 2' can be easily recognized.

In this way, it is possible to provide an envelope 1 containing a paper imitation wind chime that maintains the Japanese character of wind chimes while being highly portable and suitable for gifting.

In recent years, origami has been adopted as a part of school classes in some parts of the world, as it is expected that folding origami will be enjoyable, will foster wisdom, and will improve applied mathematical knowledge.

As shown in Fig. 5(A), an envelope 1 can be made of an origami body 2 that is folded in half with one side printed with a pattern or letters facing inward, and the three sides of the envelope 1 excluding the folded side can be glued together so that they can be separated from the origami body 2' to form a bag (the top side can be added later so that letters can be enclosed like with existing envelopes), and a string 3, a strip of paper 4, and an instruction manual 5 illustrating how to fold the envelope can be enclosed. As a result, as shown in Figure 5 (B), after cutting off the three sides, you can unfold the half-folded side and use the square origami body 2' with a pattern or the like printed on the inside side (when in a bag shape) to fold and create your own pseudo-wind chime body 2.

The present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned configurations. For example, in Fig. 2(B) the front side of the envelope 1 is made of opaque paper, and in Fig. 2(C) the back side of the envelope 1 is made of a (colorless) transparent film (transparent body), but a portion of the back side may be made of a transparent film (transparent body) to the extent that the design of the artificial wind chime body 2 is visible.

It is also possible, for example, to construct the entire envelope 1 using a colored, transparent material, such as a white, transparent material (transparent body) such as tracing paper.
