本考案は、ペットボトルを利用した炭酸飲料の、開封後における気抜けを防止することを目的としたものである。

従来、この目的を達成するための方策としては、ペットボトル本体やキャップ部分を加工して、気抜けを防止しようとするものがあるが、広く流通している一般のペットボトルにおいては活用できないし、個々のペットボトル容器のコストアップにもつながる。

ペットボトル入りの炭酸飲料はいちど開封をすると、キャップをどんなにきつく締めても時間が経つと気が抜けてしまう。それを防ぐ方策として、ペットボトル本体やキャップに対しての考案がいくつかなされているが、それが有効であるとしても、容器のコストアップにつながり、広く普及させることには無理がある。
本考案は、標準規格のキャップを有したペットボトルであれば全てに利用でき、低コストで確実に気抜けを防止することができる。

開封済みのペットボトルを普通に立てて保管すると、どうしてもキャップ部分から気が抜けてしまう。しかし、ペットボトルを逆さにして容器内の炭酸飲料で口の部分を塞げば、気が抜ける事は無い。つまりペットボトルを逆さにして保管することができれば確実に気抜けを防止することができるが、単にペットボトルを逆さにしてもすぐに倒れてしまう。
そこで、中心部にペットボトルのキャップ部分をはめ込むことができる構造を持った平板であれば、容易にペットボトルを逆さに保持できることになる。
図1はそれを目的とした基本的な構造物の1つを表したものである。

一般に広く普及しているペットボトルキャップのサイズは、共通規格として直径が28mmとなっている。したがって、嵌め込み部分の内径を28mmとしておけば、ほとんどすべてのペットボトルに利用できる。構造も簡単で大量生産が容易で、1個あたりのコストもかなり安くできる。
一般家庭はもちろん、飲食店などにおいても簡単に利用でき、炭酸飲料のコスト削減につながるものである。
