このような構成とすることによって細い均一の太さの原糸を単位となる繊維として使用することができ、モップ用コードの太さが均質化する。また、綿糸の場合に比べて黴にくく、水切れがよい。合成繊維としては例えばポリエステル、ポリエチレン、ナイロンあるいはこれらの混紡がよい。合成繊維は繊維が単糸状態では１．４〜４．８Ｄ（デニール）の太さがよく、より好適なものとしては３Ｄの太さである。コード用繊条はこの３Ｄのの太さの繊維を３００〜４００本程度束ねて集合体とすることがよい。

（３）コード５はポリエステル製であるため黴にくく、水切れがよい。

・マルチフィラメント７を構成する原繊維として上記以外の太さや長さとしたり、他の合成繊維や綿を使用するようにしてもよい。
・マルチフィラメント７の数や組み紐とする際の編み方は上記以外でもよい。
・フレーム３へのモップ用クロス２の固定手段は上記のような面ファスナー以外の手段でもよい。
・植設されるコード５の数は上記以外の数に変更可能である。
