(57)【特許請求の範囲】(57) [Claims] 【請求項1】 本管の側面に溶融接着されるサドル部
と、該サドル部から突出した分岐管部とを備え、前記分
岐管部内にシールプラグを内蔵し、かつ、分岐管部の先
端部にシールキャップを螺着した分岐管継手であって、
前記シールプラグは、円柱状のシールプラグ本体と該シ
ールプラグ本体に装着される筒状のシールパッキンとか
らなり、前記シールプラグ本体は、胴部周面に前記分岐
管部の内周面の略全長にわたって設けられた雌ネジに螺
合する雄ネジを有し、前記本管側に前記シールパッキン
を装着する小径部を有するとともに、前記分岐管部先端
側に、該シールプラグを回転させる工具に係合する係合
部を有しており、前記シールキャップは、前記分岐管部
の先端部外周と先端面とに、それぞれOリングを介して
気密に装着され、前記小径部に装着されたシールパッキ
ンは、前記シールプラグがねじ込まれることによって
記分岐管部の最奥部内面に気密に接触するとともに前記
本管に穿設された開口を閉塞可能に形成されていること
を特徴とする分岐管継手。
