2. Description of the Related Art For example, in a scorotron type charger of an image forming apparatus such as a copying machine, a grid wire is provided between a photoreceptor and a corona discharge wire, and a high voltage is applied by the corona discharge wire so that a constant voltage is applied. A potential is applied to the photoconductor. In such a copying machine, if copying is continued, the two wires of the charging device become dirty due to toner scattering, paper dust and the like. Due to the contamination, the surface potential of the photoconductor fluctuates, and the image density changes accordingly. For this reason,
A charger cleaning device was developed. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram showing a schematic configuration and operation of a charger cleaning device A to be driven according to the present invention, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view showing a state when the device A is on an outward path. As shown in FIG. 1, a charger cleaning device A
Is provided with a first cleaning member 3 that can contact only the discharge wire 2 of the charger 1 and a second cleaning member 5 that can contact only the grid wire 4. When the cleaning members 3 and 5 are reciprocated, when cleaning both wires, each cleaning member abuts on each wire 2 and 4 alternately on the outward and return paths of the first and second cleaning members 3 and 5. I try to make it. That is, as shown in FIG. 1, the cleaning device A includes a support member 8 which is guided and slid by a horizontally long groove 7 formed on the ceiling surface of the shield case 6. A first cleaning member 3 and a second cleaning member 5 are pivotally mounted on a pin 9 fixed to the support member 8 so as to be swingable. The swing of the first cleaning member 3 with respect to the first cleaning member 3 is regulated.

As described above, in order to store the cleaning member in the standby position, the conventional apparatus has a slope 20.
The sliding piece 22 must ride on the cleaning member to tilt the cleaning member. However, when the cleaning member is pulled by the rope 12 in the direction of the leftward arrow (return) in FIG. 1, a counterclockwise moment acts on the cleaning member, which causes the slide piece 22 to move the slide piece 22 to the slope 20.
The sliding piece 22 and the slope 2
And the cleaning member 5 bites into the wire 4 to prevent the rope 12 from climbing.
Had the disadvantage of slipping. Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method of driving a cleaning device in which a slide piece 22 can easily climb up a slope 20.

Next, a method of one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings to provide an understanding of the present invention. Note that the configuration of the cleaning device itself is the same as that described in the above-mentioned “conventional technology”, and therefore, this is used. First, cleaning device A consisting like the second cleaning member 3 and 5, the at cleaning wire 2, drawn to a rope 12 from the standby position shown by A 'in Figure 1 to the right as indicated by A 1 Then, the discharge wire 2 is cleaned by the first cleaning member 3 while moving and tilting as shown in FIG. At this time, the second cleaning member 5 is separated from the grid wire 4. When the cleaning device A comes to the right end of the shield case 6, the motor temporarily stops for about one second and then reverses to start returning to the standby position as shown in FIG. This movement causes the grid wire 4 by the second cleaning member 5 to move.
Cleaning is performed. At this time, the first cleaning member 3 is separated from the discharge wire 2. When the cleaning device A is at the backward end position shown in FIG. 1 (the position of A 1), the slide piece 22 abuts as shown on the slope 20. As described in the above “prior art”, even if the cleaning device A is pulled by the rope 12 in this state, the force becomes a force for rotating the cleaning device A in the counterclockwise direction (reverse direction) , and the slide piece 22 is rotated. May not be able to climb the slope 20. In this embodiment, the cleaning apparatus A when it came to return end position indicated by A 1 in FIG. 1, the running direction of the rope 12 is switched from the temporarily reverse direction in the forward direction. For example, it stops at this position for about one second and moves in the forward direction for another one second. This operation causes the cleaning device A to slightly rotate clockwise (forward) as shown in FIG. Thereby, the slide piece 22 is separated from the slope 20. Therefore, when the rope 12 is pulled again from this state, the cleaning device A moves in the backward direction while being inclined at the angle shown in FIG. Therefore, the slide piece 22 can easily climb the slope 20,
There is no biting of the cleaning member 5 into the grid wire 4 and no slipping of the rope 12 occurs. In this embodiment, the discharge wire is cleaned in the forward path and the grid wire is cleaned in the return path. However, the present invention is also applicable to the case where the grid wire is cleaned in the forward path and the discharge wire is cleaned in the return path. Needless to say.

The present invention is constructed as described above, so that the slide piece slides on the slope immediately before the standby position (end).
Since the climbing device can be easily climbed up, the cleaning device can be easily transported to the standby position, and there is no inconvenience such as overloading or slipping of driving means such as a rope.
