化粧料が、クリーム、乳液、ローション、洗顔料、パック等の基礎化粧品、口紅、ファンデーション等のメイクアップ化粧品、ボディーソープ、石鹸等のトイレタリー製品、シャンプー、リンス、整髪料等の頭髪用製品、入浴剤等で、ヒノキ科ネズコ属の植物であるウエスタンレッドシダーの抽出液を配合する化粧料の提案されている（特許文献１参照）。
化粧を落とした後、石鹸や水等により洗顔を行う必要がなく、肌に悪影響を与えることのない化粧落とし用液を提供するために、電気伝導度が５０μＳ／ｃｍ以下の精製水に植物性界面活性剤、アルカリ金属塩、またはアルカリ土類金属塩のいずれかを混合して化粧落とし用液を提供されている（特許文献２参照）。
皮膚一時刺激，皮膚感作ない低刺激性で、紫外線等で痛んだ皮膚組織を癒し、アレルギー体質，アトピー等の敏感肌にも安心して使用できる化粧品を提供するために、ヘナの葉から葉脈及び茎を除去した後乾燥させたものから水性溶媒にてヘナの葉エキスを抽出し、それを化粧料に添加することが提案されている（特許文献３参照）。
