なお、捕獲箱の内部には、公知の地獄網(先端部分を切った円錐状網)
を装置する。
次いで、台座は、下部に胡蜂を誘導する間隙と、上部に捕獲器を装着す
る区画を備えた箱状のもので、当該区画には捕獲箱の戸網の両端を挿入し
て固定させる溝を設ける。
このように構成したので、台座の下部間隙から侵入した胡蜂は、巣門へ
の経路を探すうちに、捕獲箱の地獄網を抜け脱出不可能な捕獲箱内部へ誘
導され捕獲される。
廃棄に際しては、台座の溝に沿って捕獲箱をスライドさせ分離し捕獲箱
全体を傾ければ、捕獲箱の戸網が蝶番を中心に扉のように開き、一動作に
て内容物を廃棄することができ、捕獲箱の戸網の両端を台座の溝に挿入す
るだけで簡単に再装着できるものである。
