チアゾリル基を有するものとして、２−（４−チアゾリル）−１Ｈ−ベンゾイミダゾール（チアベンダゾール：Thiabendazole(ＴＢＺ)）などが例示できる。また、カーバメート基を有するものとして、メチル−２−ベンゾイミダゾールカルバミン酸メチル（カルベンダジム：Carbendazim(ＢＣＭ)）、エチル−２−ベンゾイミダゾールカルバミン酸メチルなどが例示できる。特に、２−（４−チアゾリル）−１Ｈ−ベンゾイミダゾールと、２−ベンゾイミダゾールカルバミン酸メチルとは、熱的安定性が比較的に高く、特に樹脂成形体として利用することが容易であり、また例えばグレープフルーツやオレンジ、バナナなどの防かび剤（食品添加物）としても既に利用され、人体への影響が比較的に小さい材料として確認されたものであることから、特に好ましい。
