2. Description of the Related Art For transmitting high-frequency signals, a central conductor composed of a single conductor, an insulator surrounding the central conductor such as Teflon, phenol resin, styrene, polyethylene, etc., and a copper net surrounding the insulator are generally used. And outer conductor of copper tape,
A coaxial cable consisting of an insulating sheath is used. The characteristic impedance of the coaxial cable is determined by the diameter of the center conductor, the inner diameter of the outer conductor, and the dielectric constant of an insulator therebetween. The characteristic impedance of a general coaxial cable is roughly classified into two types, 50Ω and 75Ω. There are seeds.

The present inventor has proposed a coaxial connector comprising a plug and a jack used for connecting the coaxial cables.
The end faces of the central conductors of the coaxial cables which directly face each other without connecting terminals are brought into conductive contact with each other, and the external conductors are conductively connected via a tubular member which connects the external conductors without substantially changing their inner diameters. A new and easy-to-use coaxial connector that achieves ideal characteristic impedance matching of the structure has been developed (Japanese Patent Application No. 11-341666).

Each coaxial cable D1, D in the concave portion 28 of the plug 50 and the convex portion 48a of the jack 60
The two insulators 5 and the end faces 8a of the center conductor 8 are brought into conductive contact by fitting the concave portions 28 and the convex portions 48a. As a fastening means for firmly fixing the fitting between the concave portion 28 and the convex portion 48a, the second shell 27 formed of an annular wall 27a (having a shape like a collet) provided with a split groove on the connection end side of the plug 50. A second shell 48 fitted on the connection end side of the jack 60 with the concave portion 28 of the second shell 27 of the plug 50; and a cylinder mounted on the outer periphery of the plug 50 to form a female screw of the screw portion 32. And a collet cap 33 rotatably pivoted with a base 30 having a tapered portion T for tightening the annular wall 27a of the recessed conductive member on the inner peripheral surface. Of the plug 50 and the convex portion 4 of the jack 60 so that
8a, the main body 29 of the collet cap 33 in the plug 50 is
As it is turned at 2, the base 30 retreats in the direction of arrow Z, and the tapered portion T tightens the annular wall 27a to strongly press the outer periphery of the convex portion 48a of the jack 60. Thus, the concave portion 28 on the plug 50 side and the convex portion 48a on the jack 60 side are firmly fixed and there is no possibility of loosening. As a result, by using the plug 50 and the jack 60 of the present coaxial connector, the connection of the coaxial cable is highly reliable and the ideal characteristic impedance is matched (the center conductors 8 are directly connected to each other, and the inner diameter of the outer conductor 4 does not change). In the meantime, it is filled with the insulator 5 and the dielectric constant does not change.) Can be realized by a simple operation that does not require soldering.

As is apparent from the above description, the coaxial outlet according to the present invention has the following features. (1) The center conductor of the coaxial cable is brought into direct conductive contact,
In addition, since the insulator and the external conductor are continuously connected to each other with the same diameter, characteristic impedance matching is ideally performed, and reflection generated at the coaxial outlet during transmission of a high-frequency signal can be reduced. (2) Further, the coaxial cable and the coaxial outlet are easily and firmly connected to each other, so that there is no possibility that the coaxial cable and the coaxial cable come out, and the reliability is high.
