即ち、電気自動車により、実験を行った。この実験は出願者運転により行った。初めに本考案の電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置を前記の電気自動車に取り付け、一般道路走行において車載コンピューター表示で140kmの走行距離を記録した。次に同じ車両で本考案の電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置を解除し、ほぼ同様な運転技法を用い、同じ走行ルートを走り、計測したところ87kmの走行距離となった。この結果について次のような経済評価を行った。

本考案の構成を図によって説明する。
図1は本考案の電気自動車用プラグイン追加
電源装置を取り付けた電気自動車の部分断面説明図であり、電気自動車10の後部座席の荷物室床10−1の下部のタイヤ収納スペース10−2にスペアタイヤ10−4を収納し、その上部の床下収納スペース10−3に電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1を取り付ける構成である。
図2は電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置を電気自動車10に取り付けた部分を示す斜視図であり、荷物室床10−1の下の床下収納スペース10−3に収納ケース1−6に収納した電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1を取り付ける。電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1の収納ケース1−6は床下収納スペース10−3に収納出来るサイズに構成する。図2に示すように電気自動車10の外部にDC電源のコードをプラグインするプラグイン電源コンセント10−5を取り付けて家庭用電源で容易に充電出来るように構成する。
図3は電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1の構成を示す平面図である。
AC100V・AC200V電源1−1の電流はAC/DCチャージャー1−2に接続する。
AC/DCチャージャー1−2はAC100VをDC52Vに変換し、リチウムイオンバッテー1−3に接続する。リチウムイオンバッテリー1−3は3Vを16セル使用し、合計48Vに接続し、これを2本並列に接続する。これにDC/DCコンバーター1−4を接続する。
DC/DCコンバーター1−4はDC48VをDC220V〜480Vに変換するものである。
この電流を出力1−5により、電気自動車の走行用バッテリーターミナルに接続する。
次に本考案の使用方法を説明する。電気自動車10を夜間など駐車している際に、家庭用のプラグイン電源コンセント1−5にプラグインして電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1に充電する。電気自動車10を走行すると電気自動車用プラグイン追加電源装置1から従来の電気自動車車載バッテリーを越える電力が供給されるため、1回充電あたりの走行距離を大幅に増やす事が出来る。
