2. Description of the Related Art As an apparatus for producing a spiral electrode body used in a cylindrical battery, an upper and lower guide block for a slide guide having a groove having a concave cross section is arranged in the longitudinal direction so as to face one of the right and left. A positive electrode plate is installed in the concave groove portion of the guide block, a negative electrode plate is installed in the other guide block, and a separator is installed in the concave groove portions of the upper and lower guide blocks so as to be different from the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate, After fixing one end in the longitudinal direction of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate to the front surface and the back surface of the separator via an adhesive tape or the like, respectively, the center of the separator in the longitudinal direction is sandwiched by a winding shaft, and the separator is rotated. A device is used in which the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are laminated and spirally formed.

However, since the separator is actually made of an extremely thin film such as a microporous film, wrinkles are likely to occur, and the separator is accurately guided along the concave groove of each guide block. Not always, the winding may be lifted or meandering during winding, and winding deviation may occur, and in extreme cases, the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate may directly contact and often cause defects such as internal short circuit. .

The separator has a width of 28 mm and a length of 600.
The negative electrode plate 4 is a metal lithium sheet having a width of 23.5 mm, a length of 200 mm and a thickness of 0.2 mm, and the positive electrode plate 6 is a width of 26 mm and a length of 190 mm.

[Table 1] From the results shown in Table 1, the tensile load was 0.01 to 0.05.
It has been found that when the load is small at kgf, winding deviation may occur, and when the load is set at 7 to 10 kgf, the tensile load may cause damage such as breakage of the separator. Therefore, in this example, it is desirable to set it to about 0.1 to 6 kgf.

Next, based on the above results, a winding method using the apparatus of the present invention when the tensile load is set to 4 kgf,
When compared with the conventional device that winds with no load,
The occurrence rate of winding deviation was 8/100 in the apparatus , but less than 1/100 in the apparatus of the present invention, and it was confirmed that the effect of preventing the winding deviation by the apparatus of the present invention was sufficient.

As described in detail in the above embodiments, in the spiral electrode body winding forming apparatus according to the present invention, an appropriate load is applied to the separator, and the separator is wound around the winding shaft. Since the tension is always applied to the separator, the separator slides along the concave groove provided in the guide block and is pulled toward the winding shaft. Therefore, the separator does not meander during the winding, and problems such as winding deviation and a short circuit between the positive and negative electrodes due to the deviation can be prevented. Further, since the working speed is improved as compared with the conventional apparatus which requires careful work while taking care of prevention of winding deviation, there is an advantage that the working efficiency and the productivity are improved in addition to the improvement of the yield.
