ランジ部材を位置決めし、両フランジ部材の結合で仮組
みしてパイプを仮止めした後に、両フランジ部を脱離し
て取り付ける継手であって、両金属パイプのつば部を囲
むほぼ半円形側面であり且つ横断面の全体が円弧状であ
る2個のハウジング部材と、両つば部間に配置する円形
パッキンと、両ハウジング部材の直線状延長部を貫通す
る2組のボルトとナットからなり、前記ハウジング部材
の横断面において両内側面が中心に向って外方へ広がる
ことにより、2組のボルトとナットで両フランジ部材を
円形状を結合して締め付け、ハウジング部材の外径がフ
ランジ部材のそれよりも小さいことにより、限定された
配管域においてパイプ結合部を規定通りに配管できる金
属パイプの継手。1.
