Description
The present invention relates to fixing a gas shield nozzle for a gas shielded arc welding torch.
FIG. 3 is a schematic view when a gas shield arc welding apparatus using a conventional gas shield nozzle is mounted on a robot.
An outline of the configuration and operation of the gas shielded arc welding apparatus will be described with reference to FIG.
The welding torch body 30 is fixed to a torch holder 61, which is the tip of the robot arm 60, and moves in accordance with a welding robot program.
The gas shield nozzle 10 is fixed to the distal end portion of the welding torch body 30, the welding wire 40 is fed along the central axis thereof, and the welding arc is applied to the distal end of the welding wire 40 by the electric power supplied through the conduit cable 50. 70 is generated, and a weld bead 80 is formed on the workpiece 90 and welding is performed.
This is an example of gas shielded arc welding by a welding robot. Details of the area around the gas shield nozzle, which is the subject of the present invention, will be described with reference to FIG. 4-1.
As shown in FIG. 4A, the tip body 34 protrudes from the tip of the extension body 31 that is a part of the welding torch body 30 shown in FIG. 3, and the power feed tip 37 is fixed to the tip. .
An insulator 32 having electrical insulation characteristics is fixed at the distal end of the extension body 31 with a gap in the shield gas passage 41.
The gas shield nozzle 10 is attached to the insulator 32 by fitting the fastening male screw 33 and the fastening female screw 11, and the orifice 35 is also fixed at the same time.
At the time of welding, the welding wire 40 fed through the conduit cable 50 is fed out from the power feed tip 37 fixed to the tip end of the tip body 34, and welding proceeds as described in FIG. Shielding gas such as carbon dioxide and argon fed through the cable 50 passes through the shielding gas passage 41 and is ejected from the gas ejection hole 36 provided in the orifice 35 and supplied to the welded portion through the gas shielding nozzle 10. Sound welding is possible.
In addition, there exists what was described in the following catalog as such a gas shield nozzle.
The conventional gas shield nozzle 10 is attached to the insulator 32 by a nozzle side fastening female screw 11 and an insulator side fastening male screw 33.
However, as shown in FIG. 4B, the gas shield nozzle 10 is heated to be directly exposed to the welding arc 70 and expands as indicated by arrows 13 and 14, resulting in the nozzle side fastening female screw 11 being loosened. Become.
Furthermore, the welding torch may be given high-speed vibration called oscillation, and this vibration promotes loosening, and the gap between the nozzle side fastening female screw 11 and the insulator side fastening male screw 33 is applied to the arrows 42 and 43. As shown, outside air may enter and cause welding defects such as blow holes.
Also, in an extreme case, as shown in FIG. 4C, the gas shield nozzle 10 itself is dropped, and the power supply tip 37 and the weld bead 80 are short-circuited, and short-circuit arcs 71 and 72 are generated, and the gas shield nozzle 10 In some cases, copper as a component melts and scatters, causing serious damage to the product.
The present invention solves such problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide means for securely fixing a gas shield nozzle with a simpler structure.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, in the present invention, a gas shield arc welding torch having an axial insertion hole for inserting a wire is provided with a gap between the shield gas passages at the end of the extension body protruding from the welding torch body. Gas shield arc welding for fixing a gas shield nozzle that is fastened by fitting a fastening male screw and a fastening female screw to a fixed insulator via a fitting member that covers the terminal portion of the gas shield nozzle from the outside. In the torch, specifically, the fitting member is a metal or resin part whose tip is opened in a trumpet shape, which is shrink-fitted directly on the fastening screw of the insulator, bonded, fixed with a screw or the like, or the insulator A part of this is processed into a trumpet shape, and a gas shield nozzle is brought into contact with the trumpet-shaped opening to change the elasticity of the trumpet-shaped opening. It was firmly fixed by using.
Furthermore, the gas shield arc welding torch is characterized in that the opening angle of the fitting member is changed from 50 degrees to 100 degrees.
Below, the example of the fitting member concerning the present invention is described in detail based on a drawing. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments.
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram illustrating the overall configuration of a welding apparatus according to a first embodiment of the fitting member of the present invention, and FIG. 2-1 is a cross-sectional view of the fitting member of the first embodiment.
The outline of the configuration and operation of the gas shielded arc welding apparatus will be described with reference to FIG. 1, but most of them are the same as those already described with reference to FIG.
However, 20 is a fitting member attached to the insulator 32.
Details of the structural action of the fitting member 20 which is the subject of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG.
In FIG. 2A, reference numeral 20 denotes a fitting member, which is fixed to the insulator 32 by shrink fitting or bonding.
As shown in FIG. 2A, the distal end portion of the fitting member 20 has an outward taper 21 and opens in a trumpet shape.
In order to attach the gas shield nozzle 10 to the gas shield arc welding torch to which the fitting member 20 is attached, the fastening female screw 11 of the gas shield nozzle 10 is fitted to the insulator 3 side fastening male screw 33 and the gas shielding nozzle 10 is fitted as usual. Ten tip portions contacted the tapered portion 21 of the fitting member 20, and were screwed and fixed to a position where they were elastically fixed.
When welding is started in this state, the gas shield nozzle 10 is heated and expanded, and the gap between the nozzle side fastening female screw 11 and the insulator side fastening male screw 33 becomes loose, but the tip of the gas shield nozzle 10 is a taper of the fitting member 20. Since the gas shield nozzle 10 does not fall off and the shield gas does not enter because the gas shield nozzle 10 is more strongly bitten, the reliability of welding is greatly improved.
FIG. 2-2 shows the second embodiment, in which the insulator-side fine male screw 38 and the fitting member-side fine female screw 22 processed in the insulator 32 are fitted together and the fitting member 20 is attached to the insulator 32. The effect is the same as that of the first embodiment.
FIG. 2-3 shows the third embodiment, and is an example in which a tapered portion 39 is machined on a part of the insulator 32. The effect is the same as that of the first embodiment. The opening angle θ of the taper portion shown is an important value that brings out the performance of the present invention, and as a result of various experiments,
As shown in Table 1, the sealing property for preventing the intrusion of outside air is good when the opening angle θ is between 50 degrees and 110 degrees, and the holding ability of the shield nozzle against vibration such as oscillation is 30 degrees. It has been found that a temperature between 100 degrees and 100 degrees is good.
For this reason, in order to satisfy both the sealing performance and the holding performance as the object of the present invention, an opening angle of 50 degrees to 100 degrees is adopted as an opening angle of an insulator in which a fitting member or a part thereof is processed into a trumpet shape.
The insulator according to the present invention, in which a fitting member or a part thereof is processed into a trumpet shape, enables a gas shield nozzle to be securely fixed with a simple structure, and is useful for a general gas shield arc welding apparatus. It is.
