従来の多くの超硬チップ付き丸鋸は 先端の刃が地面に対して 垂直についているので草に対しては 刃が平行に動くので 言って見れば 鎌を立てて使っているような事で非常に効率が悪く 刈り残しも多い。本考案は チップ台板が作り出す刃は 地面に対して水平に動き 〔図1〕に示すAの部分にぶつかった草は BからCへ そしてDに至るまでにきれいに切断される仕組で 刈り残しがない。〔図1〕のB及びCの部分は ディスク面に対して20度〜30度の角度で削り取り 裏からも同じ様に削り 両刃の成す角を 40度〜60度にして 現場の状況に合わせた刃の角度を選ぶことが出来る、そして又 チップ及び台板の刃の再研磨の場合も かまぼこ型のダイヤモンド砥石などによって 簡単に研ぐ事ができる。従来の草刈り丸鋸の致命的なところは 最も石やコンクリートがぶつかりやすい所に 草を刈る為の刃がある事で 条件の厳しい場所では すぐに切れ味が落ちてしまう、そこで本考案は〔図1〕に示す様に Aの部分には刃を付けず破損の少ない丈夫な形にし チップのロウ付け部分は〔図2〕に示す 従来の様な刃先に逃げ角Eを付けることはせず チップが台板からはみ出す事なく しかも 外周円と同じにして チップに圧縮応力だけが かかる様にした,そして又〔図1〕のB,Cの刃部分の始まりを外周付近から始めれば Aの部分が小さくなり、石やコンクリートの少ない現場では 草の切れ味がよくなり能率が上がる 又 その逆でB,Cの始まりを外周から離せばAの部分が広がり 石垣や瓦礫の多い厳しい状況に対応する事が出来る。草刈り丸鋸の草刈り機への装着は〔図4〕に示すように ゴム板Fを介して固定し、刃がまともに石にぶつかった時に 衝撃を吸収させチップの破損を防ぐことが出来る。以上の考案のコンビネーションにより チップの飛びにくい永切れのする草刈り丸鋸の誕生となったMany conventional circular saws with cemented carbide tips are perpendicular to the ground, so the blades move parallel to the grass.
