[PROBLEMS] Conventionally, water supply to plants grown in flower pots, etc. has been performed every day or every few days while observing the water retention state, but forgetting water supply or leaving home for several days or more is not possible If the condition occurs, the pot soil may be dried and the plant may die.
The present invention is a device that can supply water slowly for a long time of several days or more with an extremely simple structure, and prevents the potter from drying.
An empty PET bottle container that is frequently used as a beverage container is used, and water contained in the PET bottle is slowly supplied by a siphon principle using a string having a capillary action function.

Description

The present invention relates to water supply for plants grown in flowerpots.

Plants grown in flowerpots are a major enemy of drying, and water is supplied diligently while observing the state of moisture retention.

Conventionally, water supply to plants grown in flower pots etc. is done every day or every few days while observing the water retention state, but forgetting to supply water or leaving the house for several days or more can not be done Otherwise, the pot soil may be dried and the plant will die.
The present invention is a device that can supply water slowly over a long period of time of several days or more with an extremely simple structure, and prevents the pot soil from drying.

An empty PET bottle container, which is often used as a beverage container, is used, and water contained in the PET bottle is slowly supplied by the principle of siphon using a string having a capillary action function.

Since the present invention can supply water for a long time of several days to about two weeks, even if a situation in which water supply cannot be performed for several days occurs, it is possible to prevent the pot soil from being dried and the plant to wither. Moreover, since the residual water amount of a PET bottle can be confirmed easily, the water supply amount per day can be easily grasped.
Furthermore, the amount of water supply can be adjusted by providing a mechanism that compresses a string having a capillary action function with a clip or the like to narrow the water channel.

A cord with good water absorption, or a cross-sheet or non-woven fabric sheet with good water absorption is cut into a strip shape and placed inside through the mouth of the PET bottle, and water is poured into this PET bottle. By inserting, water slowly moves out of the PET bottle due to the capillary phenomenon and siphon principle.
In addition, the amount of water movement can be adjusted by using a device that can compress the middle of the string, such as a clip.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In FIG. 1, an acrylic spindle string having a diameter of 6φ, which is used for packing and farming, cut to a length of 60 cm, is arranged from the inside through the mouth of a 2-liter PET bottle as a string for water supply.
The lid of the PET bottle is fixed to the end of the string with an adhesive, and the lid is placed on the soil.
By putting 2 liters of tap water in this PET bottle and placing it on a flower pot, water can be slowly supplied for about one week. FIG. 2 shows experimental data.

When the string of Example 1 is changed to 4φ of the acrylic spindle, the movement of water becomes even slower.

Instead of the string of Example 1, a “super water-absorbing wipe cloth” manufactured by Wako Co., Ltd. is cut into a width of 5 mm and changed into a string shape.

In Example 3, the middle part of the string is pressed with an office binder clip to reduce the amount of water movement.

比較例Comparative example

When the string is changed to a 6φ cotton blended rope in Example 1, water cannot be supplied almost because the capillary phenomenon is not good.
