活性剤を添加しても良い。又イソプロピルアルコール等
のアルコール類の添加も効果があるが、基本的には水の
みが好ましい。塗工後の乾燥は常温でよい。乾燥を早め
るために、軟化点より低い温度で加熱をしてもよいが、
樹脂粒子の融着を避けるために、軟化点より約20℃低い
温度以下が好ましい。このようにして被覆された粉体
は、球状であつて、平均粒径は好ましくは0.1〜10μmで
ある。平均粒径が0.1μm未満であると滑材としての効果
が小さくなり、10μmを越えるとトナーのすり抜けが起
きやすくなるので、クリーニングブレードのクリーニン
グ性能を阻害する。
