【考案の属する技術分野】
本考案は、ランニング中に走者自ら計時を行うため、表示が見やすくランニング中の手の動きを中断することなく操作が可能なストップウォッチに関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、計時はストップウォッチによっていたが、デジタル腕時計にストップウォッチの機能が付いてからは多くのランナーが腕時計による計時を行っている。しかし、腕時計は手首の甲に表示部があり、見るためには腕を曲げて表示部を顔の方向に向ける必要がある。また、スイッチ操作は装着した反対側の手の指で押す構造であり、両腕の動きを止めて操作する必要があるため、ゴールイン直後の疲労した状態等ではバランスを崩し転倒の危険もあった。片手で操作するためにケーブル−レリーズのようなものもあったが、ランニング中ずっと持ち続ける必要があり、手の自由が奪われるという問題点もあった。特に駅伝のようにスイッチ操作の必要な時期が、たすきの受け渡しという両手がふさがる時に重なる場合にはスイッチ操作自体が不可能であった。また、スイッチ操作が正確に行われたかどうかの確認は、音によるものが主で、最終的な確認は表示部の表示で見る他はなかった。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
本考案は、かかる従来の事情に対処してなされたものであり、ランニング中の腕の動きの中で、常に目の方向を向いているため見やすく、意識して持つ必要がない。また、表示部全体をスイッチとすることができるため、誤操作の心配が少なく片手で操作が可能で、操作の確認を光の色で常時確認可能にしたランナー用のストップウォッチを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、請求項１に記載したランニング中の腕の動きの中で自然に目の方向を向いている親指の甲、または人指し指の側面に装着する形のストップウォッチとする。表示板は視認性の向上のため、指の幅に収まりがいい程度で大型で長方形が好ましい。固定方法は指の曲がりに追随できるよう、伸縮性のある材質が好ましい。また、指の太さの個人差に対応するためには、任意の位置で留めることができるテープ等で固定しても良い。さらに、手首に比較して細い指に装着するため、本体の指に接触する面は、柔軟な材質で曲面にすると装着感が向上する。
【０００５】また、片手で容易に操作可能にするためには、請求項２に記載の考案である、表示面を覆うカバー全体をタッチ（押す）ことでスイッチ操作ができる構造とする。親指装着の場合は人指し指の腹が向きやすい親指先端部付近にスイッチ部をせり出させ、そこに大型のスイッチを付けても良い。勿論、延長コードでスイッチ部を時計から離して押しやすい場所に固定しても構わない。また、大きめの１個のスイッチでリセット、スタート、ストップ等最小限の機能にまとめると、ランニング中の操作ミスを防ぐために有効である。

【本考案の実施の形態】
以下に、本考案に係る指に装着した状態（請求項１に対応）を図１、図２に基づき説明する。図１は親指の甲、図２は人指し指の側面に装着した例である。いずれの場合も、ランニング中の手の動きの中で目の方向を向くため、手を不自然な方向に向けることなく、時計の表示を確認することが可能となる。

図１の▲２▼の親指に装着した場合は他の指▲１▼でスイッチ操作をし易くするため、図３の▲６▼に示したタブにスイッチ▲７▼を付け、関節の先に出すと好ましい。また、このタブ▲６▼は図３のように下向きに付け、付け根の部分に弾力を持たせるか独立した細いベルトで親指先端部に密着するようにすると操作が容易になる。

図２のように人指し指▲１▼に装着した場合は親指▲２▼で押せる位置に適当にスイッチを設けて良いが、図４の表示部カバー▲５▼をスイッチとすると大型のスイッチ部を設ける必要がなく好ましい。

【考案の効果】
以上説明したように、本考案の請求項１に記載のストップウォッチにおいては、ランニング中に自然に目の方向を向くため、手の動きを最小限にして計時の確認をすることが可能になる。
