【考案の属する技術分野】
本考案は、自動車の盗難を防止するために窓ガラスに名前や番号を刻印するためのガラスエッチングキットおよび該エッチングキットを用いて刻印された自動車のガラスに関する。

【従来の技術】
近年、自動車の盗難件数は急速に増加しており、盗難防止のための有効かつ低コストな対策が望まれている。盗難車は車体番号、ナンバープレート、車検証が偽造されて売られるのが通常である。近年、車の窓ガラスに車体番号や所有者名を刻印し、盗難を防止するシステムが開発されている。窓ガラスに刻印すると、窃盗犯は、窓ガラスを全部取り替えなければならならず、業者に怪しまれる上、コスト的にも損で、盗難防止効果が大きい。
自動車窓ガラスにエッチングする技術としては、サンドブラストを利用した技術がある。しかしながら、この技術は刻印した文字や図形のクォリティが低く、かつ高価な専用マシンを必要とし、コスト的にも不利である。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
本考案の目的は、操作が簡単で、専用機械を必要とせず、コスト的にも有利な自動車盗難防止用ガラスエッチングキット及び該キットを用いて刻印した自動車の窓ガラスを提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の目的は、パーソナルコンピューターにより制御されるカッティングプロッタとマスキング用シートと好ましくはガラスエッチング剤よりなる自動車盗難防止用ガラスエッチングキット、及び該キットを用いて文字又はマークがエッチングされた自動車の窓ガラス、により達成される。

【考案の実施の形態】
以下、図面により本考案を説明する。
図１は本考案のキットを構成するカッティングプロッタ、図２はマスキング用シートを表した図、図３はマスキング用シートの断面図である。カッティングプロッタ１は図示されていないパーソナルコンピュータ（パソコン）により制御される。即ち、パソコンにインストールされたソフトにより、カッター１１とマスキング用シート２が連動して、マスキング用シート２に所望の図形に切込みを入れる。マスキング用シート２はカッティングシートともよばれ、図３に示すように、剥離紙３２にマスキングシート３１が積層されており、切込み２１はマスキングシート３１のみになされる。マスキングシート３１の剥離紙３２との接着面にはガラスに粘着させるための粘着剤層が形成されている。

切込み２１を入れたマスキングシート３１は剥離紙３２から剥され、刻印をするガラスに貼り付けられるが、通常は図４に示すように、剥離する前にマスキング用シート上面に透明なシート（以下、アプリケーションシート）４を貼り付ける。これは、例えば、「Ａ」、「Ｐ」、「Ｏ」という文字のように図形中に島状に独立した部分２２がある場合、この島状部分が抜け落ちないようにするためである。また、島状部分のない場合でも、アプリケーションシートを貼り付けると文字や図形の形状を崩さずに正確にガラスに転写することができる。

アプリケーションシートを貼り付けた後、剥離紙３２を剥離して、図５に示すようにエッチングする部分２３が除かれたマスキングシートを得る。これを図６に示すように自動車の窓ガラス６に貼り付け、アプリケーションシートを剥離する。これにより、自動車の窓ガラスにマスキングシート３１によりマスキングがなされたことになる。

次に、マスキングされていない部分２３に、クリーム上のガラスエッチング剤６１を刷毛６２等を用いて塗布する。ガラスエッチング剤は、中性または弱酸性のものが好ましい。エッチングが十分に行われたら、エッチング剤を拭き取る。エッチングに要する時間はエッチング剤によるが通常２〜５分である。エッチングが終了したら、エッチング剤を拭き取り、マスキングシートを剤を剥した後、水洗等によりエッチング剤を完全に除去する。

【考案の効果】
本考案のガラスエッチングキットを使用すると、自動車の窓ガラスに車体番号、ナンバープレート、氏名等を簡単に刻印をすることができる。また、刻印の仕上がりは、マスキングシートを用いるのできわめて美的である。本考案のキットを用いて刻印した窓ガラスを具備した車は盗難防止効果が大きい。
