本考案は、遺体を納め火葬に付する棺に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
一般に、この種の棺にあっては、主構造を可燃材料の木製として底板、左右の側板、前後の妻板及び蓋板から箱状に構成され、その蓋板には棺内に納めた遺体の拝顔用扉が観音開き状に設けられている。（例えば、特許文献１参照。）

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、通夜及び葬儀において、祭壇の前部に安置された棺にあっては、その棺の外側を飾り布等の棺覆で飾る手段が施されるものの、開状態とされる拝顔用扉は、その裏面がその扉の材質がそのまま表れているのが現状である。
そこで、本考案は、棺に納めた遺体への遺族の供養の思い表わすことができるを棺を提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記した課題を達成するために、本考案の請求項１に記載の考案は、蓋板に遺体の拝顔用扉を有する棺であって、この拝顔用扉の裏面に経文等を付してなるをを要旨とするものである。

この構成によれば、祭壇の前部に安置された棺において、通夜及び葬儀にあって開状態とされる拝顔用扉の裏面に経文等を付することによって、遺体への遺族の供養の思い表わすことができるものである。

【考案の実施の形態】
以下、本考案の実施の形態を図にしたがって説明する。

なお、付される経文８等は、例えば、般若心経等、各宗派の経文がそれぞれ選択されて採用されるものであり、また、経文８等の他、その遺体の（遺族）の家紋や「南無阿弥陀佛」等の題目を付してもよく、これらを総称して本明細書では「経文８等」という。
