A conventional ink jet head includes a nozzle plate 1 in which a piezoelectric element 5 and a nozzle 7 are processed, and an ink chamber 13. Is applied, the piezoelectric element 5 is deformed by the piezoelectric effect as shown in FIG. 4 to pressurize the ink and discharge the ink in the ink chamber 13 from the predetermined nozzle 7 of the nozzle plate 1. At this time, no ink is ejected from the other nozzles 7. When ink-jet recording is performed using the above-described ink-jet head, printing can be performed in a so-called on-demand system in which ink is discharged from predetermined nozzles 7 to be discharged when discharge is desired.

ものである。As described above, the conventional ink jet recording apparatus is clogged because the ink jet head is left for a predetermined period of time while being filled with ink. Clogging occurs when components present in the ink deposit on the nozzle surface as solids due to evaporation of the ink medium on the nozzle surface. Therefore, if the ink jet head is clogged, normal ejection of ink is hindered, so that ink cannot be landed at a desired position on the recording paper, or ink cannot be plotted on the recording paper because ink cannot be ejected. Or When such clogging occurs, the printing quality is greatly affected, for example, characters printed on recording paper cannot be read. Therefore, several methods have been proposed to solve this.
For example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 62-218140 proposes a method for cleaning an ink jet head shown in FIG. This ink jet head is an ink jet head including an ink nozzle 21, an air chamber 23, and an air nozzle 25, and jets ink from the ink nozzle 21 by jetting air from the air nozzle 25. A spacer 27 is provided on the nozzle surface of the ink jet head including the ink nozzle 21, the air chamber 23, and the air nozzle 25.
In this method, the air from the air nozzle 25 is caused to pass through a narrow gap by approaching the guide plate 29 via the air nozzle, and a large flow velocity of the air is generated to discharge attached matter and the like from the ink nozzle 21 at once. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 57-131
566 also proposes a method of cleaning the ink jet head. This ink jet head has a structure in which ink is ejected by applying a printing voltage to a piezoelectric element. In this method of cleaning the ink jet head, a deposit higher near the nozzle is blown off by applying a voltage higher than the printing voltage to the piezoelectric element for a short period of time.

This is a mechanism for connecting a circuit for applying a voltage to the circuit and applying a voltage to electrically charge charged components in the liquid to prevent clogging. The electric permanence of this ink is based on the principle that, when an electrode is immersed in a liquid and a voltage is applied, a negatively charged component moves to the anode and a positively charged component moves to positive.
