As shown in (1), since the round multi-core cable 2 having a length of about 10 to 20 cm and having the connectors -1 and 1 attached to both ends is used, there are the following drawbacks. An example of a cross section of the round multi-core cable 2 is as shown in FIG.
In FIG. 2, 3 is a conductor. (1) The variation in impedance caused by the variation in the position of the cable core is large, causing a variation in the signal propagation speed, and the stacking of SCSI is limited to at most four stages. (2) Since the cable length is long, the distortion rate of the signal waveform is large. (3) Since the length of the cable is long, a curved cable protrudes at a connecting portion, and it takes up bulk and extra space.

In FIG. 3, reference numeral 5 denotes a flat cable, and a conductor 6 of the cable 5 is a connector-4, 4 terminal. The length of the cable 5 is slightly longer than the separation distance between the vertically adjacent SCSI electrodes.
It is about.

じ、正常に信号を伝播させることができなくなる。As shown in FIG. 4, the arrangement of the conductor 6 of the flat cable 4 is always constant, and the positional relationship between the conductor 6 and the terminal of the connector 4 to which the conductor 6 is connected is always constant. There is almost no variation in impedance between the bulls 4. On the other hand, in the conventional round multi-core cable 2, as shown in FIG. 2, a concentrically twisted wire core is disassembled at both ends and connected to the terminals of the connectors -1 and 1. Since they are arranged in a flat shape as much as possible, the positional relationship maintained in a cable state is broken. Since it is extremely difficult to keep this positional relationship constant during processing, it is inevitable that the impedance between the cables 2 attached to the connectors 1 and 1 varies. For example, a cable 2 with a connector for connecting SCSI up to the third stage
The impedance of the cable 2 with the connector connecting the third stage and the fourth stage varies even if the impedance of the cable 2 is high. , The speed of propagation of the signal decreases, and confusion occurs, and the signal cannot be propagated normally.

On the other hand, it has been confirmed by experiments that the SCSI connection cable of the present invention does not cause any trouble up to the stacking of eight stages.

4 and 4 also have an advantage that they can be easily attached to SCSI electrodes. If necessary, an ear 9 may be provided at an appropriate place of the metal case 7 so that the metal case 7 can be fixed to a frame of the computer with a screw or the like.

It is possible to cope with about twice the stacking of SCSI compared to the conventional case. Since there is almost no protrusion of the connecting portion, there is no bulk and no extra space is taken. The cable itself can be processed at a low cost, and a cable having higher performance than the conventional one can be provided at a price of about 1/10 of the conventional one.
