2. Description of the Related Art When a guide light is installed on a road or guided by a person, a guide light comprising a grip portion and a light emitting portion is constituted by a red light portion and a green light portion by an electric light or a fluorescent light.
A proposal has been made to switch to red or green by a switch so that anyone can accurately perform guidance.
No.2, found in Japanese Utility Model No. 5-6502. However, when the illuminant is an electric light or a fluorescent light, the guide light becomes thick and large, and if the light is shaken violently, the electric light is cut off. Also, the power consumption is large and not practical. As examples in which light emitting diodes are arranged in a device having low power consumption, there are Utility Model Registration No. 3030547 and Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 4-68301 proposed by the present inventors.

A conventional guide light using a light emitting diode has a drawback that the light from the light emitting diode is not bright because of the straightness and directivity of the light, so that the light is not bright. I was In addition, although the use of a light-emitting diode has a feature that the size can be reduced, characters, symbols, patterns, and the like cannot be displayed like other light sources, for example, a light bulb, a fluorescent lamp, and a neon bulb. These are due to the difficulty in obtaining scattered light from the light emitting diode. Therefore, a study was made to provide a light-diffusion-type induction (cue) lamp using a light-emitting diode and capable of displaying bright, characters, and the like.

In the above structure, the light diffusing means includes:
Placing a diffusely reflecting surface in the light path from the light emitting diode can first be presented. As the irregular reflection surface in the optical path, a mirror surface formed in a convex surface (a conical shape, a semicircle, or the like), a plane mirror having a rough surface, or the like is preferable. Further, the light traveling from these irregular reflection surfaces in the direction of the protection cylinder is further diffused by disposing a light diffusion sheet or a reflection sheet on the inner circumference of the protection cylinder, or by making the inner wall of the protection cylinder rough, so that the entire light emitting portion is formed. Can be made bright and uniform, and the display function as a light diffusion type guide light can be clarified.

FIG. 1 is a partially cutaway front view of a light diffusion type guide light according to the present invention. The guide light of this example includes a holding unit 1 and a light emitting unit 2. A main switch 3 and a color switch 4 are provided on the light emitting unit 2 side of the grip unit 1. A plurality of red light emitting diodes 5 and a plurality of green (or blue) light emitting diodes 6 are provided inside the light emitting unit 2. Any color can be arranged depending on the purpose of use. Each of the light emitting diodes 5, 6 is held by the base 7, and is sequentially attached to the holding rod 8 from the grip portion 1 side, so that the light emitting diode 5 and 6 are not damaged even if a person swings. The color change switch 4 is used to switch the display from red display to green or blue display. The light emitting diodes 5 and 6 exhibit a warning effect by blinking by partially or entirely using a self-blinking type light emitting diode to enable blinking.

In the present invention, the light diffusing means 9 is provided in the light path from the light emitting diodes 5 and 6 in the present invention. In this example, a mirror surface 10 is formed as a light diffusing means 9 by depositing silver on a plastic base formed in a conical shape. FIG. 2 shows this state. Light emitting diode 5,
The light from 6 has straightness and directivity, but the light is reflected and diffused if a conical mirror surface 10 is present in the forward direction of travel. Then, the light is directed toward the light emitting unit protection cylinder 11 and scattered light is emitted to the outside, so that the light looks bright. At this time, the light-emitting part protection cylinder
If a known light diffusion sheet 12 is arranged on the inner periphery of 11, light is further diffused, and the entire light emitting portion can be made brighter and more uniform. The same effect can be obtained by forming a large number of concave and convex strips on the inner wall of the light emitting unit protection cylinder 11 as shown in FIGS.

Various other modes can be considered as the light diffusing means 9. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the surface of the hemispherical base is a mirror surface 10, or as shown in FIG. 5, a concave lens 14 is provided near the light emitting diodes 5, 6 to diffuse light. As shown in FIG. 6, even if the mirror is simply arranged, there are some effects. In that case, when the mirror surface 10 is subjected to metal deposition of aluminum, silver, etc. on the base formed on the rough surface,
The brightness can be remarkably increased.

It is preferable that the tip of the light emitting unit protection tube 11 also shines.
Therefore, to make the tip transparent and diffusely reflect,
As shown in FIGS. 8A and 8B, the inner surface of the distal end portion is formed on the uneven surface 15.

FIG. 9 shows a guide light comprising a gripping portion (not shown) and a light emitting portion, which emits light using the light emitting diode 5 in the light emitting portion.
This is an example in which the light diffusing means 9 having the surface indicated by "." The light diffusing means 9 is a convex mirror in this example, and various displays can be performed by changing characters described before the convex mirror. This light-diffusing guide light can be held and shaken by hand, but it may be held on a stand or the like, or the grip portion may be slightly enlarged so that it can stand alone.
