However, in the above-mentioned conventional air conditioner, the lower surface of the heat exchanger 12 which is laid at 45 ° or more, although the space between the receiving surfaces 20a is the same as the pitch of the bracket 19, is provided. Since the drain receiver 17 covers the whole, the ventilation resistance on the suction port 15 side is considerably increased, and as a result, there is a disadvantage that the amount of air blow per fixed number of rotations of the fan 14 is reduced and the noise is increased. Further, the reduction in the amount of blown air reduces the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger 12, and requires a heat exchanger having a large area, so that the casing 11 cannot be downsized.

In the air conditioner according to claim 1, the heat exchanger 10 in the casing 11 installed behind the ceiling works.
When the fan 14 is driven, the room air sucked from the suction port 15 facing the ceiling opening A on the lower surface of the casing 11 is
The air is cooled by the heat exchanger 10, is pressure-fed by the fan 14, becomes conditioned air, and is blown into the room from the outlet 16. At this time, the moisture contained in the room air is condensed on the surface of the heat exchanger 10 as dew water with cooling. The condensed condensed water flows downward along these inclined portions 1 and 2 without dripping immediately because the heat exchanger 10 has the first inclined portion 1 and the second inclined portion, The lower end 10a of the first inclined portion 1 is dropped and collected on the drain pan 13 or the lower end 2a of the second inclined portion 2 is dropped and received by the receiving tray 5a of the drain receiver 5, and then both ends of the receiving tray 5a Of 1
It is guided by the pair guide 5b and collected by the drain pan 13 . Thus, the tray 5a of the drain receiver 5 is heat-exchanged.
Under the second inclined portion 2, not on the entire surface of the vessel 10 on the suction port side.
The tray 5a is provided only on the edge 2a, and the tray 5a is
Since the guide 5b communicates with the drain pan 13 , the ventilation resistance is reduced, and the heat exchanger 10 is bent, so that the area of the heat exchanger 10 can be increased even with a small casing 11. Therefore, while reducing the size of the air conditioner, the amount of air blown by the fan 14 and the heat exchange efficiency of the heat exchanger 10 can be increased by reducing the ventilation resistance, and noise can be reduced.

As is apparent from the above description, the ceiling-embedded air conditioner of the present invention includes a heat exchanger housed together with a fan and a drain pan in a casing having an inlet and an outlet facing the ceiling opening. A first inclined portion extending obliquely upward from the lower edge, a second inclined portion having a predetermined inclination, and a drain receiver for collecting dew condensation water dripping from a lower edge of the second inclined portion and guiding the water to the drain pan. The drain receiver 5 is provided with the second
Receiving the dew condensation water dripping from the lower edge 2a of the inclined portion 2
The tray 5a and both ends of the tray 5a communicate with the drain pan 13.
Since the guide is composed of a pair of guides and the drain 5b , the installation location of the drain receiver is limited to a small area, the ventilation resistance is reduced, and the air flow of the fan and the heat of the heat exchanger are reduced while reducing the size of the air conditioner. Exchange efficiency can be increased and noise can be reduced.
Further, the second inclined portion of the heat exchanger is disposed substantially parallel to the first inclined portion, and an upper edge of the first inclined portion and a lower edge of the second inclined portion are connected by a third inclined portion. If the condensed water dripping from the lower end edge of the third inclined portion is collected by the drain receiver, the heat exchange area can be increased and the cooling capacity can be increased. Furthermore, if the second inclined portion of the heat exchanger is arranged substantially parallel to the first inclined portion and the upper edge of the first inclined portion and the lower edge of the second inclined portion are connected by a partition plate, the cooling capacity can be improved. Is reduced, but costs can be reduced.
