熱が奪われないため、定着ローラの表面温度は定着温度
よりも高い温度になる。したがって、定着ローラの温度
分布は図8に曲線aで示す如く、中央部はサーミスタに
より所定の定着温度例えば185℃に保持されるが非通

4は定着ローラlに転接しているので、定着ローラ外周
面に傷をつけることは少い。ヒートパイプ4の表面に薄
肉のシリコーンゴム等をコーティングすれば、更に傷付
きを防止することができる。又、この構成の場合はヒー
トパイプ4を通紙幅範囲中央部の短い範囲のみに設けれ

紙幅中央部に定着ローラの長さの一部に設けられ、かつ
該ヒートパイプ表面に摺接させて定着ローラ表面温度検
