Furthermore, in order to obtain a sufficient cleaning effect, it is necessary to strongly press the brush belt against the blanket cylinder, and a force for pushing the brush belt in the width direction acts upon contact with the rotating blanket cylinder. In addition, it becomes sturdy, and the driving power also increases. As a result, when the space near the blanket cylinder is narrow, it is difficult to dispose the blanket cylinder, and there is a problem that it is not preferable for performing maintenance work.

As another prior art, Japanese Patent Publication No. 2-66
No. 29 discloses a nonwoven fabric supply roll and a take-up roll, and a blanket cylinder is provided between the supply roll and the take-up roll via an expansion member in which the nonwoven fabric wetted with a cleaning liquid is expanded by compressed air. A device for contacting over the entire length of the device and wiping foreign matter or the like is shown. According to this technique, the consumption of the cleaning liquid is small.

However, when the pressure pad passes through the gap portion of the blanket cylinder, there is a problem that foreign matter adhering to the nonwoven fabric may be pushed into the gap and deteriorate printing performance. For this reason, after the cleaning of the blanket cylinder is completed, it is necessary to stop the rotation of the blanket cylinder and manually wipe off the foreign substances adhering with a cloth or the like. Further, it is necessary to strongly press the nonwoven fabric against the blanket cylinder in order to improve the cleaning effect. For this reason, an accident of cutting the nonwoven fabric may occur. In this case, there is a problem that the broken end of the nonwoven fabric is caught in the rotating direction of the rotating blanket cylinder, causing a large accident. Further, since the nonwoven fabric is discarded as a consumer good after the wiping, the cost for the nonwoven fabric increases. In addition to this, since a large space is taken up structurally, it is difficult to dispose it in an allowed narrow space, which is not preferable in terms of maintenance.

When the cleaning head of the cleaning device comes into contact with the printing cylinder, foreign substances such as ink, paper powder, dust, and powder adhered to the surface of the printing cylinder are introduced between the cleaning member attached to the front and rear of the cleaning case. Is done. On the other hand, a cleaning liquid is supplied to the cleaning member from a cleaning liquid supply device, and the cleaning is performed here. In the cleaning, first, preliminary cleaning is performed at the front of the cleaning case. By this washing, the washing waste liquid containing most of the foreign matter is scraped off by the lip, and is sent to the wind box through the upper slit by the inflow air sent from the air inlet opened at the upper part of the washing case. Next, the cleaning waste liquid containing foreign matter that has not been scraped off by the lip is sent to the rear, and the final cleaning is performed by supplying new cleaning liquid.
The washing waste liquid is sent to the wind box through the lower slit by the inflow air sent from the gap between the lower portion of the washing case and the printing cylinder. The air and the washing waste liquid collected in the wind box are sucked and collected by a vacuum device. The printing cylinder is thus thoroughly cleaned in a short time by the cleaning liquid.

The wind box 10 has a structure in which both side surfaces are removable as blind plates 22 so as to be convenient for maintenance. The air collected in the wind box 10 through the slits 17 and 18 is sucked by a not-shown vacuum device from an outlet 23 at the center front. If the width of the cleaning head 3 is short, a discharge port 23 may be provided on one of the cleaning heads 3. The one-sided flow of the air from the slits 17 and 18 in the width direction worsens the discharge of the cleaning waste liquid, leading to a reduction in the cleaning effect. The one-sided flow increases as the width of the cleaning head 3 increases, but also depends on the flow rate of the air in the wind box 10. For this reason, the cross-sectional area of the wind box 10 is selected so as to suppress this flow rate so as not to affect the cleaning effect.

Next, the operation will be described. During printing and after printing, the cleaning head 9 is attached to the printing cylinder 1.
In a state separated from the surface. In the cleaning operation, first, the printing cylinder 1 is rotated, the air cylinder 6 is extended, and the cleaning head 9 is brought into contact with the printing cylinder 1. At the same time, the vacuum device and the cleaning liquid supply device are operated. Thus, the supply of the cleaning liquid and the processing of the cleaning waste liquid are performed. Here, in the cleaning, the cleaning liquid and water may be supplied in an emulsion state, or the cleaning liquid and water may be supplied alternately. When the cleaning operation is started and the above-described vacuum device is operated, the outside air is sucked from the intake port 8 on the upper part of the cleaning case 9 as shown by the dashed arrow in FIG. , Is pneumatically transported to the wind box 10 through the slit 17. On the other hand, the outside air is also sucked from below the cleaning case 9 as shown by the dashed arrow in FIG. 4, and the cleaning waste liquid that has been cleaned in the rear part 12 is pneumatically transported to the wind box 10 through the slit 18. The waste liquid sucked by the vacuum device is collected by a waste liquid collecting device (not shown).

The present invention is structurally simpler than a conventional printing cylinder cleaning apparatus, has few moving parts in the main body, does not require complicated control, is easy to operate, and requires less maintenance work. Is easy. Also, there is no need for expensive consumables such as non-woven fabric, and no large space is required.
There is an advantage that less driving power is required. Furthermore, by adopting the air inlet, a substantially constant amount of air flow can always be secured in the upper slit, even when the cleaning head passes through the gap of the printing cylinder, and the cleaning waste liquid in the gap is removed. The rest can be eliminated. In addition, the internal structure of the wind box can be modified to reduce variations in the wind speed in the width direction, and the washing case is divided into an upper part, a lower part, and an intermediate part, thereby performing two-stage cleaning of preliminary cleaning and finishing cleaning. Thereby, improvement in the cleaning effect and a significant reduction in the cleaning time can be expected.
