2. Description of the Related Art When printing paper is dried by blowing hot air from above and below while running horizontally, there is a difference in the amount of water evaporation between the blank paper portion and the printing portion, which may cause wrinkles, that is, wrinkles in the printing portion. Is well known. Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. Sho 62-223 discloses a hot air drying apparatus for preventing the occurrence of fire wrinkles.
There are inventions such as those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 589 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 3-50387.

As shown in FIG. 4, a web (printing paper) 1 printed by a printing machine 2 is provided with a hot air nozzle 4 in a hot air drying device 3 as shown in FIG. And a pair having a concave shape 4b are arranged facing each other as a pair, and an adjacent pair of nozzles are arranged upside down at the facing position, and the above-mentioned Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 3-50387 shows FIG. As shown in the figure, the nozzle 4 has only a convex surface.

On the other hand, a section in which the web travels horizontally is provided between the hot air drying device and the cooling cylinder. This is because the solvent vapor contained in the ink is present in the web immediately after being dried by the drying device in the boundary layer between the air above and below the web. This can stain the printing surface, so that this horizontal section is required to allow solvent vapors present around the web to escape to the atmosphere.

However, in the horizontal section of the web between the hot-air drying device and the cooling cylinder, so-called tension wrinkles are generated in the web in the web flow direction due to tension and in the width direction. When the tension wrinkles are generated, the ink dries in a state where the wrinkles are present. Therefore, even if the ink is flattened by the cooling cylinder and cooled and solidified, wrinkles remain on the printed matter, that is, so-called wrinkles remain.

The present invention has been developed to address such problems, and has as its object to prevent the occurrence of tension wrinkles in this horizontal section and to blow off the solvent vapor on the web.

The structure of the present invention for achieving the above object will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 corresponding to the embodiment. It is characterized in that a plurality of floaters 5 for meandering and transporting the printing paper in the vertical direction are arranged therebetween.

According to the present invention, the S-shaped conveyance is carried out in the entire process from the drying to the cooling of the web by the above-mentioned means, and the S-shaped conveyance is performed as shown in FIG. Section 1 with the length l of the web held
Considering FIG. 5, the length of the section 15 is the same at both the crest and the valley of the wrinkle, and when this section 15 is bent to a certain radius of curvature as shown in FIG. Since R = l / θ and the radius is the same, the wrinkles are eliminated and the wrinkles of the web are not generated due to the geometrical effect of forming a flattened surface having no peaks and valleys.

Accordingly, the ink on the web is solidified in a flat state, so that even if there is a difference in evaporation of water between the printing portion and the blank portion, the shrinkage force that causes wrinkles in the printing portion can be reduced, and thus wrinkles can be reduced. .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. Reference numeral 1 denotes a web (printing paper), 2 denotes a printing roll, 3 denotes a hot-air drying device. The high-temperature web 1 conveyed in the S-shape in the drying device 3 by the nozzle 4 is disposed immediately after the outlet and is S-shaped by a plurality of floaters 5a, 5b, and 5c having adjacent running surfaces in opposite directions. The air is continued to travel, and is sent to a cooling cylinder 6 provided immediately after the most downstream floater 5c, cooled, and guided to a folding machine (not shown) via a guide roller 7.

As shown in FIG. 2, the floater 5 has a header 8 as a curved surface, a large number of small holes 9 formed in the curved surface, and an air supply pipe 12 connected to a fan 11 connected to a side wall 10. Air is sent from the small holes 9 to the web 1 by sending the pressurized air from 12, and the web 1 is floated by the pressure. The small holes 9 provided in the header 8 may be formed as slits extending in the web width direction.

As described above, according to the present invention, since a plurality of floaters for meandering the printing paper in the vertical direction are arranged between the hot air drying device and the cooling cylinder, the printing paper is conveyed from the hot air drying device. Since the printing paper is dried and cooled without vertical wrinkles, the wrinkles of the printing paper can be greatly reduced, and the number of cooling cylinders can be reduced because the floater can cool the heated web by using normal temperature air. In addition, since the ink solvent gas near the web at the outlet of the hot-air drying device can be blown off, there is an effect that contamination of printing paper due to solvent recondensation in the cooling cylinder can be prevented.
