2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a method of coloring a vinylidene chloride resin, a method of directly adding a pigment to the vinylidene chloride resin or a method of kneading the pigment with a liquid material used as a plasticizer of the vinylidene chloride resin is used. A method of adding the obtained paste-type colorant to a vinylidene chloride-based resin is known.

However, when a pigment is directly added to a vinylidene chloride-based resin for coloring, the pigment is insufficiently dispersed in the resin, resulting in color spots on a final molded article such as a film. In addition, there are problems that lines, streaks, pinholes, and the like are easily generated, and that coloring is not stable. Further, the inside of the mixer used for coloring the vinylidene chloride-based resin is severely contaminated, so that there is a problem in handleability such as not being suitable for automatic weighing.

In the method of adding the paste type colorant to the vinylidene chloride resin, the pigment can be sufficiently dispersed in the resin, but the colorant is difficult to handle and is difficult to handle. In addition, it is difficult to increase the pigment content to a high concentration, and there is also a problem in storage stability. Further, the inside of a mixer used when mixing the resin and the paste type colorant to color the vinylidene chloride resin is severely contaminated.

In general, a masterbatch obtained by adding a pigment at a high concentration together with a plasticizer and a stabilizer to the same resin as the resin to be colored together with a plasticizer and a stabilizer, kneading with heat, and then pelletizing or pulverizing the resin is known. I have. When mixing such a masterbatch and resin, there is no contamination inside the mixer as described above. In addition, since the pigment is highly dispersed in the resin during the production of the master batch, the dispersibility of the pigment in the resin to be colored is good. However, when a masterbatch is prepared using a vinylidene chloride-based resin, the resin has low heat resistance and requires heating in the step of kneading the resin and the pigment, so that the resin is easily decomposed, Batch production is extremely difficult.

The above object is achieved by the present invention described below. That is, the present invention is a colorant composition for a vinylidene chloride-based resin, which is obtained by mixing a pigment with a polystyrene-based resin having a weight average molecular weight in a range of 10,000 to 90,000.

The colorant composition of the present invention can increase the pigment concentration because the pigment is dispersed in the polystyrene resin.
Further, by using the colorant composition of the present invention, since the form is granular, flake or powder, without contaminating the inside of the mixer used when coloring the vinylidene chloride resin, It is extremely easy to clean the inside of the mixer after removing the resin after coloring from the mixer. Further, since the colorant composition itself of the present invention is a highly dispersed pigment in the resin, the dispersibility of the pigment in the vinylidene chloride-based resin is also extremely good.

The molecular weight of the polystyrene resin used in the present invention is preferably in the range of 10,000 to 90,000 on a weight average. When a colorant composition is made of a polystyrene resin having a weight average molecular weight of less than 10,000, it is difficult to pulverize the colorant composition, and even if pulverized, the melting point is low. Problems such as contamination of the interior of the mixer used in the process. Further, when a colorant composition is prepared from a polystyrene resin having a weight average molecular weight of more than 90,000, problems such as poor dispersibility of the colorant composition in a vinylidene chloride resin occur.

The colorant composition of the present invention can contain a plasticizer if necessary. When a plasticizer is required, any commonly known plasticizer can be used as the plasticizer. However, since the phthalate-based plasticizer has an action of dissolving the polystyrene resin, the obtained coloring agent can be used. It is not preferable because problems such as blocking of the agent may occur. When using a plasticizer, the amount used varies depending on the polystyrene resin or pigment used,
The amount is preferably 1 to 55 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the polystyrene resin. If the amount of the plasticizer exceeds 55 parts by weight, it is difficult to pulverize the colorant, and even if pulverized, the colorant powder tends to be agglomerated, contaminating the interior of the mixer used for coloring, and However, automatic measurement becomes difficult, which is not preferable.

The pigment used in the present invention may be either an organic pigment or an inorganic pigment. For example, azo pigments, phthalocyanine pigments, titanium oxide, carbon black, red stalks and the like can be mentioned, but the present invention is not limited to these. The amount of these pigments is arbitrary, but is preferably about 30 to 150 parts by weight, more preferably 50 to 100 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the polystyrene resin. Incidentally, additives such as a lubricant, a dispersant or a resin stabilizer may be further added to the colorant composition of the present invention, if necessary.

Evaluation Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 obtained as described above
For each of the colorant compositions of No. 2, the vinylidene chloride-based resin was colored as described below, and the dispersion state of the particles of the colorant composition was confirmed. 100 parts of vinylidene chloride resin, 5 parts of epoxidized soybean oil [Adekaizer O-130P: manufactured by Adeka Argus Chemical Co., Ltd.] and Examples 1 to 6 and Comparative Examples 1 to
0.5 part of each colorant composition of No. 2 was mixed with a Henschel mixer at 1500 rpm for 10 minutes and then taken out. Thereafter, each resin colored by each colorant composition was extruded at 170 ° C. using a 252 type uniaxial extrusion attachment of Rheocode System 90 (manufactured by HAAKE), and pressed to 0.1 mm with a PET film. Then, the dispersion state of the particles of the colorant composition was observed with a 50-fold optical microscope. The evaluation of the dispersion state was as follows: 1.4 mm × 1.8 m for each sample.
The measurement was performed on the following criteria in five visual fields of m. The results are shown in Table 1 below.
