Further, in the case of the conventional retaining device, it is necessary to form the retaining means in an annular shape as described above, and when attaching the retaining device to the dentition, the dentist or dental technician optimizes the retaining effect. Therefore, it is necessary to make fine adjustments on site after checking the holding means and the degree of contact with the teeth and the gaps so that the teeth can be adapted to the patient's dentition. For this reason, as the material of the holding means, a metal which can easily perform plastic working must be selected. Therefore, with the conventional retaining device, the corrected teeth cannot be positively urged against the base portion, so that there is a problem that the state slightly returns to the state before the correction.

In the present embodiment, the base portion is formed by the support portion 3 attached to the left and right third molars and the holding means attached so as to hang the incisors, canines and first premolars at the front end of the dentition. The base portion is stably attached to the back surface of the tooth row because it is configured to be supported at three points by the row. In addition, since the support portion 3 is attached to the corrected tooth so as to be wound, even if the corrected tooth returns to the original state before the correction, the corrected tooth is stored in the holding portion 2. Since a reaction force is generated in the direction in which the base portion is pressed, a desired correction state is maintained.

Also, instead of forming a plurality of holding means, FIG.
6 to 6 may be used. In this embodiment, since the holding means is formed so as to surround the entire dentition including the third molar, the holding means simultaneously serves as a support portion and a holding means. In particular, when the holding means 2 is formed, the connecting part 4 connecting the spring part 2a and the support part 3 is thermally contracted, so that the teeth of the holding means 2 as a whole are reduced by the contracting force of the connecting part 4 when attached to the dentition. The base portion 1 can be firmly fixed by pressing the base portion 1 against the front end side of the row of teeth while tightening. Further, when the corrected teeth are located on the left or right rear end side of the dentition, a support portion may be attached to the front end of the dentition in order to fix the base portion to the dentition in a stable state. However, the supporting portion attached to the front end portion is made of synthetic resin so as to be invisible.

The holding device of the present invention uses the holding means made of thermoplastic resin as described above, so that it is not noticeable. By doing, it can be easily processed into a shape suitable for the tooth row, and can be mounted without any gap between the tooth surface of the tooth row by shrinkage after cooling, and at the same time as the normal temperature below the processing temperature. Since there is no deformation in the use state, the corrected tooth can be securely held without returning to the original state.
