Conventionally, as a method of producing a Lippmann hologram, as shown in FIG. 4, a reflector 1 and a photosensitive material 2 are superimposed, light is incident from the photosensitive material 2 side, and the incident light 3 and the photosensitive material 2 are transmitted. A method for recording interference fringes of light reflected by the reflector 1 is known.

Such a method of manufacturing a Lippmann hologram requires a complicated optical system such that light from one laser light source is split by a half mirror, reflected by a plurality of mirrors, and irradiated from both sides of a photosensitive material. However, since a simple optical system that simply irradiates the photosensitive material is sufficient, there is an advantage that the optical system is less susceptible to the vibration of the optical system and the convection of air, which deteriorate the quality of the reproduced image.

However, in such a conventional method for producing a Lippmann hologram, since the surface of the photosensitive material is uniformly irradiated with light, only a uniform Lippmann hologram can be produced over the entire surface. For example, a partially different pattern is formed. In the case of trying to obtain a decorative effect, for example, there is a disadvantage that it is inappropriate.

The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and provides a method for manufacturing a Lippmann hologram that can easily pattern a portion where diffraction occurs with a simple optical system and can also provide a decorative effect. The purpose is to:

In order to solve the above problems, the present inventors have made intensive studies, and as a result, have found that a reflective portion on a reflector is patterned, thereby achieving the present invention.

FIG. 1 is a view showing an example in which the entire surface of an object superimposed on a photosensitive material is used as a reflecting surface, and a part of the reflecting surface is patterned, in which 1 is a reflector, 2 is a photosensitive material, and 3 is an incident light. Reference numeral 4 denotes a light absorbing layer.

In the figure, the entire surface of a reflector 1 is a reflective surface, and a light absorbing layer 4 is provided on the surface to pattern a reflective portion. When the incident light 3 is irradiated from the photosensitive material 2 side, the reflected light from the portion where the light absorbing layer 4 is not provided interferes with the incident light, and interference fringes are recorded on the photosensitive material 2 only in that portion. Therefore, a decorative effect can be given by recording a pattern.

In the above example, patterning is performed on the reflector surface. However, the same effect can be achieved by interposing a pattern having a light transmittance distribution between the reflector and the photosensitive material. It is possible.

In the Lippmann hologram according to the present invention, the portion where reflection occurs is patterned nonuniformly over the entire surface, and the portion where interference between incident light and reflected light occurs is patterned,
A portion where diffraction occurs can be easily recorded in a pattern, and information such as characters and figures can be recorded, and a decorative effect can be provided.

A Lippmann hologram patterned by the optical system shown in FIG. 3 was produced. The surface of the cylindrical body 7 is used as a reflection surface, and a lith film 8 on which light transmission patterning is performed by ordinary exposure and development is wound around the reflection surface.
An 8E75HD film 9 manufactured by fa-gevaert was wound. The cylindrical body 7 is rotated in the direction of the arrow to send out the photosensitive material 9, and at the same time, a He-Ne laser beam (6328 °) 10 having an output of 50 mW is diverged in a slit shape by passing through a cylindrical lens 11, and is incident on the photosensitive material 9. did. The reason why the slit light is used is to increase the amount of incident light per unit area, shorten the exposure time per unit width, and eliminate the influence of vibration and the like. The exposed photosensitive material 9 was developed by a known method to obtain a patterned Lippmann hologram.

In the above embodiment, an example in which a pattern is interposed between the cylindrical body and the photosensitive material has been described, but the surface of the cylindrical body itself may be similarly patterned by the method shown in FIGS. Needless to say, it can be manufactured.
