2. Description of the Related Art FIG. 6 is a principle diagram showing an electronic dust collecting section of a conventional air purifying apparatus. Contaminated air from which relatively coarse dust, dust and the like have been removed by a pre-filter 4 provided at an air inlet is shown in FIG. Fine particles such as dust and dust are charged by the charging unit 51. Next, the charged particles pass through the dust collecting section 52 and are adsorbed by the positive and negative electrode plates. The air from which the charged particles have been removed further passes through an activated carbon filter 53, whereby fine particles that could not be removed even in the dust collecting section 52 are removed and deodorized, resulting in clean air.

Since the conventional air cleaning device is constructed as described above, fine dust and the like that cannot be completely removed by the pre-filter 4 and the dust collecting portion 52 adhere to the activated carbon filter 53. If the dust easily adheres to the activated carbon filter 53, the deodorizing effect is reduced. Further, since the pre-filter 4 is easily soiled, it must be cleaned frequently, which is troublesome. Furthermore, even if bacteria were contained in the taken-in air, they were sent out to the room as it was, and the air could not be completely purified.

Next, the operation of the above configuration will be described. When the power is turned on and the fan 8 is driven, contaminated air in the room is sucked in from the air inlet 2, and rough dust and dirt are removed by the pre-filter 4 and then sent to the electronic dust collector 5. Charged particles in the charged portion 51 as described above in the electronic dust collecting part 5 is the dust collecting by the dust collecting portion 52

Ozone O 3 has a strong deodorizing effect, and oxidizes malodorous substances and changes them into odorless substances. In this case, when using ozone, it is necessary to prevent 0.1 ppm or more of ozone from being discharged to the outside. For this purpose, a catalyst 95 for decomposing ozone is used.

As a source of ozone, an ultraviolet lamp or corona discharge is used. The ozone generating element 92 used in the present embodiment generates a corona discharge due to a creeping discharge along the electrodes 92a and 92b by applying a high-frequency high voltage between the electrodes 92a and 92b. I am trying to make it. Also, the electrode 92b
Has a V-cut shape so that abnormal discharge due to adhesion of dust is less likely to occur.

At this time, the remaining malodorous substances react with oxygen on the surface of the catalyst 95 to become odorless substances. Most of the deodorizing action takes place in this process. Further, the deodorizing section 9 also has a sterilizing action by ozone.

Further, in this embodiment, a plurality of ozone generating elements 92 are used, but one ozone generating element is driven by one high-voltage power supply 96. That is, one high-voltage power supply 9
6, it is possible to drive a plurality of ozone generating elements 92. In this case, however, a variation in the discharge voltage of each element makes it easy to discharge only certain elements, and the amount of ozone generated may not reach a predetermined amount. In this embodiment, a more reliable ozone generation amount can be obtained. In addition, a switch 99 for switching the number of drives of the plurality of ozone generating elements 92 is provided, and the amount of ozone generated can be switched according to use conditions.

As described above, in the air purifying apparatus according to the present embodiment, the electronic dust collector 5 has a deodorizing effect and a sterilizing effect in addition to the dust collecting effect, and the deodorizing portion 9 has a sterilizing effect in addition to the deodorizing effect. have. Therefore, the respective effects in the electronic dust collecting section 5, the germicidal lamp 6, and the deodorizing section 9 complement each other, and the respective effects are further enhanced, so that the air can be substantially completely purified. Since it is configured to be attached, the dust collecting effect, the sterilizing effect, and the deodorizing effect in each part complement each other, and the air can be purified more completely. Further, since it is not necessary to provide an activated carbon filter for deodorization in the electronic dust collecting portion, it is possible to obtain such an effect that the deodorization effect is not deteriorated due to adhesion of minute dust and the like. Furthermore, since the deodorizing section is configured by integrally assembling the ozone generating section and the ozone decomposing section with a case, the air flow path of the housing constituting the device body does not rust, and the case is rusted. Since only the case needs to be replaced, the effect of extending the life of the device can be obtained.
