(Prior Art) Conventionally, in a disposable diaper, the side flaps of the side flaps (first side flaps) have been used in order to improve the adhesion of the side flaps (first side flaps) around the wearer's legs and prevent leakage of excrement from around the legs. Japanese Patent Publication No. Sho 63-235501 discloses an example in which an elastic band is provided on the upper surface and a flap (second side flap) which can be raised upward by the contraction action of the elastic band is provided. In this technique, the second flap is made of a sheet made of air-impermeable and water-impermeable material, and a nonwoven fabric made of, for example, water-repellent silicon resin is used. By the way, it is effective to make the second flap air-permeable and impermeable in order to prevent the inside of the diaper from being stuffy when worn, but on the other hand, if too much importance is placed on air permeability. There is a trade-off problem that water imperviousness is sacrificed. Therefore, in reality, it is difficult to simultaneously satisfy both the breathability and the waterproofness of the second side flap. For example, to improve the water impermeability, the thickness of the sheet to be used may be simply increased, but this will result in a loss of air permeability. Therefore,
Water repellent treatment is often applied to reduce the thickness of the second side flap and make it impermeable without impairing air permeability, but this treatment may irritate the skin in the case of allergic persons. is there. Therefore, the water-repellent treatment is required to be relatively small even if it is performed, and it is necessary to improve the water impermeability of the second side flap to meet the requirement.

In such a situation, the present invention is to improve the water impermeability of the second side flap by forming the second side flap by a sheet formed by intermittently joining two fiber nonwoven fabrics without impairing air permeability. It is intended to overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages of the prior art.

(Operation) By forming the second side flap from two fiber non-woven fabrics intermittently bonded to each other, a discontinuous boundary where the non-woven fibers are not substantially entangled occurs between the non-bonded portions of the non-woven fabric. When excrement oozes out of the second side flap by capillary action, the capillary action is interrupted once at this boundary, which leads to the effect of preventing oozing. If the bleeding from the flap can be prevented, the degree of the water repellent treatment on the flap can be correspondingly reduced.

As described above, the first flap 16 is formed by each part of the top sheet 11 and the back sheet 12 extending outward from the laterally opposed side edge of the absorber 13 and a part of the second flap 17. The second flap 17 is made of a sheet 53 in which an outer-layer fibrous nonwoven fabric 51 and an inner-layer fibrous nonwoven fabric 52 are intermittently joined to each other. The sheet 53 is impermeable to air, and therefore, the nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 are preferably made of hydrophobic thermoplastic synthetic fibers such as polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, and polyester. The nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 cooperate with each other to realize the air-permeability of the second flap 17, and are used in contact with the wearer's skin, and have high flexibility and good touch. Desired. In the present invention to enable them to use the spunbonded nonwoven fabric with a basis weight 5 to 40 g / m 2 in the inner layer of the nonwoven fabric 52, the outer layer of the nonwoven fabric 51
In a melt extruder for producing the synthetic fiber,
Attach the Merutoburoro gold on the nozzle unit, used to inject molten polymer and fast-temperature air at the same time, the called meltblown nonwoven fabric obtained by depositing the ultrafine fibers on a conveyor with fine繊化in basis weight 3 to 20 g / m 2 I do. Meltblown nonwoven fabrics are particularly suitable for use in areas that come into contact with the skin because they can be easily made of fibers having a low denier.

FIG. 4 is a plan view of a sheet 53 having an intermittent joining portion 54, and FIG. 5 is an enlarged sectional view taken along line VV in FIG. FIG. 2 schematically shows a state in which both are joined and a state in which both boundaries are separated. The nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 are constituted by fibers 51A and 52A, respectively. Prior to processing the nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 into the second flap 17, the nonwoven fabrics are intermittently joined to each other in advance by a joining means such as ultrasonic welding or hot calender roll treatment. The joining means may be selected as appropriate, but it is desirable that unpleasant stimuli do not occur when the joined part comes into contact with the skin, and for that purpose, the joining means is suitable.
Furthermore, such bonding reduces the area occupied by the bonding portion 54 with a nonwoven fabric.
It is effective that the area of one of the joining portions 54 is set to 0.01 to 10 mm 2 within the range of 2 to 20% with respect to the surface area of 51, 52, in order to obtain a moderate touch and joint strength.

As is apparent from FIG. 5, the nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 are separated except for the joint portion 54, and there is no entanglement between the constituent fibers 51A and 52A of the nonwoven fabrics 51 and 52 due to the separated boundaries. Therefore, the exudation of the excrement liquid due to the capillary phenomenon in the sheet 53 is blocked at this boundary, and as a result, the water impermeability of the sheet 53 is improved. It is possible that the non-woven fabrics 51 and 52 which have been separated from each other by the pressure such as body pressure during actual use of the diaper 1 may come into contact with each other. It is not easy to reach the point where the fibers are entangled and the fibers are entangled, and the water-impermeable property of the sheet 53 can be maintained.

FIG. 6 is a sectional view of the diaper 1 similar to FIG.
The case where the second side flap 17 has a simple structure in which one sheet 53 wraps the elastic member 26 at the free end 19 is shown. The second side flap 17 has a side edge 18 tightly bonded and fixed to the upper surface of the first flap 16 inside the diaper 1, and although not shown, the vertically opposed ends 24, 25 of the second side flap are connected to the flap. Without wrapping the front area 2
The free end 19 can be raised on the upper surface of the diaper 1 by being joined and fixed to the upper surface of the first flap 16 at 1 and the back area 22. By doing so, when the diaper 1 is worn, the second side flap 17 falls down with the free end 19 facing outward, so that the sheet 53 has the fibrous nonwoven fabric 52 abutting on the first flap 16 at the inner edge 18 and the fibrous nonwoven fabric 51 It is preferable to use it so that it comes into contact with the wearer's skin.
