In addition, an inclined surface is formed near the center surface of the inner surface of the flange portion and the bulging portion on the side of the longitudinal concave portion adjacent to the web portion of the gantry, and the inclined surface is formed on the base end surface and the distal end surface of the joint splicer. Also, if an inclined surface is formed, and it is tightened with a caulking fastener to pull the pair of joint splicers,
The joint splicer enters the longitudinal recess of the gantry in a wedge shape.

Moreover, since a small gap remains between the web and the inner surface of the joint splicer, the pulling force (fastening force) of the caulking fastener is not killed, and the joint splicer as a wedge is moved in the longitudinal direction. It becomes the force to drive into the recess.

From the above Table 1, it can be seen that the connection structure using the ears 6, 6 and the caulking fasteners 18 of the present invention has a temperature rise of 10% to 20% as compared with the intermediate portion (standard portion) of the gantry 2 where there is no seam. The bending stiffness is reduced only by about 5% to 10% while the electric resistance is reduced by 0% to 10%.

Particularly, as a rigid electric wire, a special surface treatment is not applied to the connection portion, so that the temperature rise at the connection portion can be suppressed low, and an increase in electric resistance can be prevented, so that a very preferable connection structure. Thus, in combination with the above effects, it can be said that the structure exhibits stable current collecting and feeding properties.

Further, since the inclined surfaces 19, 21; 20, 22 at positions as close as possible to the gantry center plane P are fixed by pressure welding, a strong and stable connection mechanically and electrically can be realized. Moreover, it is an excellent connection structure that does not loosen even after long-term use, and does not cause abnormal bending or electrical heating at the connection portion.
