【発明の詳細な説明】 (イ) 産業上の利用分野 本発明はフアクシミリ装置に関する。 (ロ) 従来の技術 一般にフアクシミリ装置に於いては、CCITTで制定さ
れた制御手順に基づき交信が行なわれており、最終原稿
を送信すると第3図に示すようにRTC信号の送信に続きE
OP信号を送信し、受信側からのMCF信号を検出すると、D
CN信号を送信し回線を切断して終了している。(例えば
特開昭62−59456号公報参照)。 したがつて原稿の表裏両面を送信する場合には従来は
先ず表面の送信を行なつた後、再度電話をかけ直し裏面
の送信を行なうか、又は予め原稿の一方の面をコピーし
ておき送信する方法が行なわれていた。 ところが前者の方法では電話をかけ直す必要が有り送
信操作を複数回必要とし送信終了迄に時間がかかり、又
後者の方法では予めコピーする必要があり余分な費用が
かかる等の問題が有つた。 (ハ) 発明が解決しようとする問題点 本発明は上述の問題点を解消すべくなされたもので、
簡単な操作で原稿の表裏両面を送信することができるフ
アクシミリ装置を提供するものである。 (ニ) 問題点を解決するための手段 本発明は原稿の両面送信を指示する手段と、該手段に
より両面送信が指示された時、原稿の片面の送信終了で
原稿を排出すると共に、受信側に両面送信を指示する信
号を送信し、回線を接続状態に維持するよう制御する制
御手段で構成したものである。 (ホ) 作用 本発明は上述の如く構成したので、原稿の両面の送信
を行なう場合には、前記指示手段により両面送信を指示
すると、原稿の片面の送信が終了しても回線が接続状態
に維持されているので、排出された原稿を再度セットす
ることにより、原稿の両面の送信を行なうことができ
る。 (ヘ) 実施例 以下本発明の実施例を図面に基づき説明する。 (1)はフアクシミリ装置全体を制御する制御回路
で、マイクロプロセッサで構成されており、処理プログ
ラムが記憶されたプログラムメモリ(2)のプログラム
に従つて各部を制御している。又制御回路(1)では読
み取つた送信原稿データの信号処理及び受信した信号の
処理も併せて行なつている。(3)は送信原稿を光学的
に読み取り、読み取つた白黒データを電気信号に変換し
て制御回路(1)に供給する読取部で、原稿移送機構、
レンズ機構、照明機構及びイメージセンサ等で構成され
ている。(4)は受信信号に基づき制御回路(1)の制
御の下にサーマルヘッド等の記録ヘッドを駆動し印字を
行なう記録部で、記録紙及び記録紙移送機構と記録ヘッ
ドで構成されている。(5)は読取部(3)で読み取つ
た原稿データ或は信号処理されたデータ等が記憶される
データメモリで、データの書込み及び読み出しが制御回
路(1)により制御されている。(6)は送信キー、受
信キー、モードキー、テンキー或いは両面送信キー等で
構成されるキーボードで、キー信号を取り込んだ制御回
路(1)は、キー信号に応じてプログラムメモリ(2)
のプログラムに従い制御する。(7)はキーボード
(6)より入力されたデータ等を表示する表示器であ
る。(8)は電話回線(L)に電話機(9)とフアクシ
ミリ装置の制御回路(1)を切換えて接続する回線切換
回路で、リレー回路で構成され制御回路(1)により切
換制御されている。尚、キーボード(6)で両面送信キ
ーが操作されると、キー信号を検出した制御回路(1)
は図示しないフラグのセットを行ない両面送信モードで
あることを記憶するよう構成されている。 次に斯る構成よりなる本発明の動作につき、第2図の
フローチヤートに基づき説明する。 先ず片面のみの原稿を送信する動作につき説明する。 送信に際し読取部(3)に送信原稿をセットした後、
電話機(9)で受信側のフアクシミリ装置の電話番号を
ダイヤルし、受信側フアクシミリ装置よりの応答音(CE
D信号)を受話器で確認したところで、キーボード
(6)の送信キーを操作すると、送信キー信号をステッ
プ(S3)で検出した制御回路(1)はフアクシミリの基
準に基づきステップ(S4)で受信側と所定の制御信号の
交信を行なつた後送信モードの設定を行なう。このよう
にして所定の交信処理を終了した制御回路(1)は、次
に読取部(3)を制御し読み取つた原稿データを符号化
処理し、ステップ(S5)でトレーニング動作を行なつた
後、ステップ(S6)で原稿データを電話回線(L)に送
出して送信を行なう。そして原稿データの送信を終了す
ると、ステップ(S8)でRTC信号を送出し続いてステッ
プ(S9)で両面送信フラグがセットされているか否かの
判定を行なうが、今片面のみの送信でありフラグはセッ
トされていないので、ステップ(S10)へ進みEOP信号を
送信する。EOP信号を送信するとステップ(S11)で受信
側から送られてくるMCF信号の検出を行ない、MCF信号を
検出するとステップ(S12)に進みDCN信号を送信した後
ステップ(S13)で電話回線の切断を行ない、最後にス
テップ(S14)で原稿を排出して送信を終了する。 次に原稿の両面の送信を行なう場合につき説明する。 この場合送信に先立ちキーボード(6)の両面送信キ
ーを操作し両面送信フラグのセットを行なう。そして原
稿の表面を読取部(3)にセットし、前述と同様にして
ステップ(S1)〜(S8)の処理により原稿データの送信
を行なう。表面の送信終了で制御回路(1)はステップ
(S9)で両面送信フラグの判定を行なうが、今両面送信
モードでありフラグがセットされているので、ステップ
(S9)よりステップ(S15)へ進みEOM信号の送信を行な
うとともに、自身をフェーズBに戻す。続いてステップ
(S16)で原稿の排出を行なう。次にステップ(S17)で
受信側よりのMCF信号の検出を行ない、検出するとステ
ップ(S18)で両面送信フラグのリセットを行なう。こ
れにより受信側ではECM信号の受信により所謂フエーズ
Bの交信信号の授受のモードに待機している。そこで送
信側のオペレータが排出された原稿の裏面を読取部
(3)にセットすると、ステップ(S19)で原稿のセッ
トを検出した制御回路(1)は、ステップ(S4)に進み
前述と同様にしてステップ(S4)〜(S8)の処理によ
り、原稿の裏面の送信を行なう。裏面の送信を終了する
と制御回路(1)はステップ(S9)でフラグの判定を行
なうが、ステップ(S18)で既にフラグのリセットが行
なわれている為、ステップ(S10)へ進み前述と同様に
ステップ(S13)迄の処理を順次行ないステップ(S14)
で原稿を排出して送信を終了する。尚ステップ(S11)
(S17)(S19)で検出が行なわれない時は、所定時間経
過したら、電話回線を切断して動作を終了する等の処理
を行なう。かくして1枚の原稿の両面の送信を一度に行
なうことができる。 尚前述の実施例は1枚の原稿の両面を送信する場合で
あつたが、複数枚の原稿の両面を送信する場合には、原
稿の裏面を送信中にキーボード(6)の両面送信キーを
操作し両面送信フラグをセットしておくことにより、複
数枚の原稿の両面の送信を行なうことができる。 又実施例では裏面の送信を指示する信号としてEOM信
号を使用したが、MPS信号を使用することも可能であ
る。但しこの場合にはMPS信号の送信から10数秒以内に
原稿を読取部(3)にセットしなければフアクシミリの
基準により制御回路(1)は回線を切断する処理を行な
うのでEOM信号の方が好ましい。即ち、EOM信号を使用す
るとCCITTの規格で35秒±5秒以内に原稿を読取部
(3)にセットすれば良い。更にフアクシミリの基準に
ない特定の信号を使用することも可能である。 (ト) 発明の効果 上述の如く本発明のフアクシミリ装置は、原稿の両面
送信キーを操作するだけの簡単な操作で、原稿の表面の
送信が終了しても回線を接続状態に維持し、排出された
原稿を再度セットすることにより、続けて裏面の送信を
行ない原稿の両面の送信を行なうことができるもので、
フアクシミリ装置の機能向上となり、極めて実用的効果
大である。また、本願発明では両面送信が指示された時
の原稿の片面の送信終了で上記両面指示手段による両面
送信指示を解除するようにしたので、両面送信を送信原
稿毎に指定できる。
