Further, the width of the display electrodes Xj and Yj is further narrowed, and disconnection is likely to occur. Further, since the scanning time for two lines is required to display one pixel EG, if the number of lines increases due to the high definition, it is difficult to realize a high-speed screen display due to a restriction on a driving circuit related to a driving frequency.

The planar shape of the pixel EG is a square which is advantageous in terms of image quality,
The planar shape of the unit light emitting region EU is a vertically long rectangle (for example, a size of about 660 μm × 220 μm). In addition, the alphabet (R, G, B) in the figure has shown the light emission color of each unit light emission area EU.

Compared to the case where two lines are associated with the pixel, the pixel EG
Since the number of electrodes arranged in each pixel is halved, if the area of the pixel EG is selected to be the same as the conventional one, the width of the display electrodes X and Y can be almost doubled.

Is no longer necessary to partition the lines for each line. Therefore,
As shown in FIG. 2, the shape of the partition wall 19 can be band-shaped, and the partition wall formation can be simplified as compared with the case where a grid-shaped partition wall surrounding the unit light emitting region EU is provided.

It is easier to miniaturize the pixel than in the case where it is associated with the pixel, and it is easier to form the partition than in the case where a grid-like partition is provided. Therefore, high definition of full color display can be achieved.

The band-like partition walls which define and placed between the respective address electrodes, provided in a strip of the phosphor one by one between the respective septum wall, adjacent to and along said the line in each phosphor versus
Surface discharge type plasma display panel, characterized in that attached pair <br/> respond to 1 Tsunoe element display a total of three unit light-emitting area you respond.
