【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は記録阻止を考慮した映像信号の記録方法に関
する。 〔発明の概要〕 本発明は映像信号の記録方式に関し、映像信号が記録
阻止信号を含むか否かを検出し、記録阻止信号を含む映
像信号に対しては記録を阻止し、記録阻止信号を含まな
い映像信号に対してはその映像信号に記録阻止信号を挿
入して記録するようにしたことにより、映像信号を所定
回数以上繰り返して記録することができないようにした
ものである。 〔従来の技術〕 映像信号の記録された磁気テープを一のVTRにて再生
し、その再生信号を他のVTRに供給して他の磁気テープ
にその映像信号を再記録することを阻止する技術は、従
来から種々提案されている。 その技術の一つとして、本出願人より先に提案された
ダビング方式(特願昭60−272995号、本願出願時におい
て未公知)が有る。これはテープに予め映像信号と共に
ダビング保護データを記録しておき、このテープを再生
してそのダビング保護データを検出し、その再生された
映像信号の再記録を阻止するようにしたものである。 〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕 かかる先行技術では、テレビジョン放送の映像信号、
ダビング保護データを含まないテープからの再生映像信
号のように、ダビング保護データを含まない映像信号
は、何度でも繰り返して記録することができる。 かかる点に鑑み、本発明は映像信号を所定回数以上繰
り返して記録することのできない映像信号の記録方法を
提案しようとするものである。 〔問題点を解決するための手段〕 本発明による映像信号の記録方法は、コード値を含
み、そのコード値に応じて、所定回数未満の記録は可能
であるが、その所定回数以上の記録を阻止する記録阻止
信号が垂直ブランキング期間に挿入された映像信号のそ
の記録阻止信号の有無を検出し、その記録阻止信号が検
出されなかったときは、垂直ブランキング期間に記録阻
止信号に対応するコード信号を挿入して映像信号の記録
を行い、記録阻止信号が検出されたときは、その検出さ
れた記録阻止信号のコード値を検出し、その検出された
記録阻止信号のコード値が所定値未満のときは、そのコ
ード値を変更すると共に、その記録阻止信号の挿入され
た映像信号の記録を行い、検出された記録阻止信号のコ
ード値が所定値に等しいときは、その記録阻止信号の挿
入された映像信号の記録を阻止するようにしたものであ
る。 〔作用〕 かかる本発明によれば、コード値を含み、そのコード
値に応じて、所定回数未満の記録は可能であるが、その
所定回数以上の記録を阻止する記録阻止信号が垂直ブラ
ンキング期間に挿入された映像信号のその記録阻止信号
の有無を検出する。その記録阻止信号が検出されなかっ
たときは、垂直ブランキング期間に記録阻止信号に対応
するコード信号を挿入して映像信号の記録を行なう。記
録阻止信号が検出されたときは、その検出された記録阻
止信号のコード値を検出する。そして、その検出された
記録阻止信号のコード値が所定値未満のときは、そのコ
ード値を変更すると共に、その記録阻止信号の挿入され
た映像信号の記録を行う。又、検出された記録阻止信号
のコード値が所定値に等しいときは、その記録阻止信号
の挿入された映像信号の記録を阻止する。 一例として、例えば、コード値が4未満、即ち、3以
下のときは、記録が可能であり、4以上のとき記録を阻
止するものとすると、ある記録媒体Aから再生された信
号Xが別の記録媒体Bに記録され、次に、その記録媒体
Bから再生された信号Xが更に別の記録媒体Cに記録さ
れ、記録媒体Cから再生された信号Xが更に別の記録媒
体Dに記録されるが、記録媒体Dに記録された信号Xを
別の記録媒体Eに記録することはできない。 〔実施例〕 以下に、図を参照して、本発明の一実施例を詳細に説
明する。図は本発明を適用したVTRの一例である。尚、
図においては、記録系のみを図示し、再生系は図示を省
略してある。 (1)は記録すべき映像信号の入力端子である。この
入力端子(1)は切換えスイッチSWを介して、チューナ
からの映像信号及び他のVTRからの再生映像信号が夫々
供給される入力端子T1、T2に接続されている。 入力端子(1)からの映像信号は、記録阻止信号検出
回路(2)に供給される。この記録阻止信号検出回路
(2)からの映像信号は、記録阻止信号挿入回路(3)
に供給される。この記録阻止信号挿入回路(3)は、入
力端子(1)に供給された映像信号から、記録阻止信号
検出回路(2)によって記録阻止信号が検出されなかっ
たときは、その映像信号の垂直ブランキング期間等に記
録阻止信号(特定周波数の周波数信号、コード信号等)
を挿入する。 記録阻止信号挿入回路(3)からの映像信号は記録阻
止手段としてのオンオフスイッチ(4)を通じて、記録
回路(5)に供給される。そして、この記録回路(5)
からの映像信号(輝度信号はFM変調され、搬送色信号は
低域変換されている)は、回転磁気ヘッド(1個乃至複
数個)(6)に供給されて、磁気テープ(7)上に傾斜
トラックを形成する如く記録される。オンオフスイッチ
(4)は、記録阻止信号検出回路(2)によって制御さ
れ、記録阻止信号検出回路(2)によって入力端子
(1)に供給された映像信号から記録阻止信号が検出さ
れたときは、スイッチ(4)をオフにし、検出されなか
ったときは、オンにする。 次にこの実施例の動作を説明しよう。入力端子(1)

ったときは、記録阻止信号検出回路(2)によって、ス

号は、記録回路(5)を通じて回転磁気ヘッド(6)に
供給されて磁気テープ(7)に記録される。この磁気テ
ープ(7)に再記録された映像信号には、記録阻止信号
が含まれているので、この映像信号を再生して再度他の
磁気テープに記録することはできない。 又、入力端子(1)に供給された映像信号に記録阻止
信号が含まれていたときは、これが記録阻止信号検出回
路(2)によって検出されるので、スイッチ(4)はオ
フになさしめられ、従ってその映像信号は磁気テープ
(7)に記録されない。 尚、上述の実施例の場合は、映像信号に記録阻止信号
を付加して磁気テープに記録し、その磁気テープに記録
された映像信号を再生しても、それを他の磁気テープに
2度と記録することはできないようにしたが、記録阻止
信号挿入回路(3)において、映像信号に挿入する記録
阻止信号に工夫を凝らすことにより、ある回数だけは再
記録が可能になるようにすることができる。即ち、記録
阻止信号が記録阻止信号挿入回路(3)を通過する度
に、そのコード値が1ずつ増えるようになし、その記録
阻止信号のコード値が所定値に達したら、これを記録阻
止信号検出回路(2)で検出して、映像信号の再記録を
阻止するようにすれば良い。 〔発明の効果〕 上述せる本発明によれば、コード値を含み、そのコー
ド値に応じて、所定回数未満の記録は可能であるが、そ
の所定回数以上の記録を阻止する記録阻止信号が垂直ブ
ランキング期間に挿入された映像信号のその記録阻止信
号の有無を検出し、その記録阻止信号が検出されなかっ
たときは、垂直ブランキング期間に記録阻止信号に対応
するコード信号を挿入して映像信号の記録を行い、記録
阻止信号が検出されたときは、その検出された記録阻止
信号のコード値を検出し、その検出された記録阻止信号
のコード値が所定値未満のときは、そのコード値を変更
すると共に、その記録阻止信号の挿入された映像信号の
記録を行い、検出された記録阻止信号のコード値が所定
値に等しいときは、その記録阻止信号の挿入された映像
信号の記録を阻止するようにしたので、映像信号を所定
回数未満は記録が可能であるが、所定回数以上は記録を
阻止することのできる映像信号の記録方法を得ることが
できる。この場合特に、順次に記録媒体を変えて、同じ
映像信号の再生及び記録を繰り返して行くときは、その
記録の回数が制限される。又、記録阻止信号を含まない
映像信号に対しても、映像信号を所定回数未満は記録が
可能であるが、所定回数以上は記録を阻止するようにす
ることができる。
