フレームの左,右一対のメインパイプ間にシリンダヘッ
ドの吸気側部分が挟まれた状態で車体フレームに搭載さ
れる自動二輪車用4サイクルエンジンにおいて、クラン
ク軸の外端部及び上記排気カム軸の外端部をエンジン側
壁外に突出させ、該両突出部同士を第1伝動部材で連結
し、該第1伝動部材をエンジン側壁に着脱自在に取り付
けられたカバーで覆い、排気カム軸と吸気カム軸とを上
記第1伝動部材の内側に配置された第2伝動部材で連結
したことを特徴とする自動二輪車用4サイクルエンジ
ン。
