In the above configuration, when the blower is driven, a flow of air from the odor suction port to the discharge port is generated, and the air containing the malodorous component at the time of defecation is deodorized by the deodorization unit and discharged from the discharge port around the toilet. By repeating this, the deodorizing effect is enhanced.

Operation With the above configuration, the malodorous component generated in the inner space of the toilet is sucked by the blower, oxidized and deodorized by the ozone generated from the ozone generator and the catalyst, and excess ozone is reduced to oxygen and returned to the inner space of the toilet. Even if ozone with a high concentration is released into the inner space of the toilet, it is sucked again and repeated to be diluted. Also, ozone is compatible with water and dissolves in stagnant water on the inner surface of the toilet bowl, or naturally attenuates and returns to oxygen.

For the above reasons, an ozone concentration that does not affect the human body can be secured. Also, because it can avoid contact with the human body,
The deodorizing effect can be exhibited safely over a long period of time.

In FIG. 2, there is a toilet 1 in a toilet room, and a main body 17 mounted and fixed on the upper rear side of the toilet, and a toilet seat 2 and a toilet lid 3 are provided on the upper surface so as to be freely opened and closed. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 4 denotes an odor suction port facing the toilet inner surface space 5 and opened on the back surface of the main body, and reference numeral 6 denotes a discharge port. A duct 7 communicates between the odor inlet 4 and the outlet 6. In the duct 7, an ozone generating section 8 composed of a discharge electrode from the odor suction port side, and a blower including a oxidation catalyst 9, a fan 10 and a motor 11 downstream of the ozone generating section 8 for decomposing and processing the malodorous component and returning excess ozone to oxygen.
A circulation air path indicated by an arrow is formed between the toilet inner space 5 and the duct 7.

The operation will be described in the above configuration. First, deodorization during defecation is detected by a seating detection device (not shown) when a person sits on the toilet 1, and the motor 11 or the rotating blower 12 is operated by a signal from the control unit 13. Then, an air flow from the odor suction port 4 to the discharge port 6 is generated, and the air containing the malodorous component at the time of defecation is sucked from the suction port 4 and flows through the duct 7 as shown by the arrow. At this time, the malodorous component is decomposed into deodorant components by a strong oxidation action of ozone generated by silent discharge or creeping discharge at a high voltage to a small amount of sulfur dioxide gas or nitrogen oxide, and is deodorized, and further promoted by passing through the oxidation catalyst 9. At the same time, unreacted excess ozone is reduced to oxygen and discharged from the outlet 6 to the toilet interior space 5. However, when the decomposition efficiency of residual ozone is reduced for some reason, high-concentration ozone is discharged. However, since the discharge destination is in the toilet, the ozone is sucked again from the odor suction port and is repeatedly diluted to be diluted. At the same time, the ozone has compatibility with water and dissolves in the stagnant water 14 on the inner surface of the toilet bowl, and naturally returns to oxygen after being attenuated. In the process, there is also a sterilizing action on the toilet inner space 5 and the toilet wall 15. When the defecation ends and the toilet seat 1 rises up, the detecting device (not shown) detects it and the blower 12 stops by the signal of the control unit 13 to finish the deodorization. It is also possible to make it. Further, if a deodorization on / off switch is provided, the deodorization can be performed continuously.

In addition, the ability to decompose ozone has a high ability to decompose indole and skatole, which is a odor of feces, but the ability to decompose ammonia and acetaldehyde is slightly low. If it is sufficiently decomposed and heated to 300 ° C or more, almost all odors including ozone can be decomposed, so
The heater 16 can be incorporated into the oxidation catalyst and heated to increase the ability to decompose malodorous components. At this time, if the temperature of the oxidation catalyst 9 is excessively increased by the heater 16, the duct may be deformed.
The temperature must be kept constant.

Thus, according to the present embodiment, the ozone concentration (0.006 ppm) which does not affect the human body even if the residual ozone is discharged by forming the circulation air passage between the deodorizing device built in the main body and the inner space of the toilet seat. ) The following can be secured.

Also, because it can avoid direct contact with the human body,
It is possible to provide a deodorizing device that can safely exhibit a deodorizing effect over a long period of time and does not require replacement of a deodorizing agent or the like. Note that the arrangement of the blower 12 does not necessarily need to be downstream of the oxidation catalyst 9 and may be determined by design means.
