オートバイは、フレームの前下部にエンジンを搭載す

器を配置し、更に気化器の後側にエアークリーナーを連
結する。このようにして、エアークリーナーで埃を取除
いた空気に、気化器で燃料を霧化混入し、吸気ガスにし
て、エンジンに吸入させている。又、高速型のオートバ
イでは、フレーム前部から前部側面にかけて、流線形に
したカウリングを取付けて、カウリングで覆うようにし
て、走行による風の抵抗を少くするようにしている。そ
の場合、エンジンは、カウリングの内側になり、カウリ
ング前面に導風口を設けているが、換気が十分でない。
特に、エンジンのシリンダー部分は、運転による燃焼熱
で高温になり、付近の気温が上昇する。この温度上昇し
た空気をエアークリーナーが吸入すると、空気が温度上
昇によって膨脹していて空気密度が薄いので、吸気効率
が低下し、エンジン出力が低下する不都合がある。これ
を防ぐため、エアークリーナーの入口に連結した導風パ
イプを車体前方まで導いて、カウリング前面に開口さ
せ、走行できる風をエアークリーナーに吸入させるよう
にしているが、埃の吸入が多く、又、速度が早くなると
過給になって、気化器のセッチングとミスマッチを起
し、出力低下する問題がある。又、舶用エンジンなどで
は、吸気を水冷するものがある。例えば、実開昭54−16
1416号公報、実開昭56−85024号公報参照。

冷却水路を配置し、併せて筒体内にハニカム状の冷却フ
インを設けて冷却効果を高めると共に吸気騒音を低減で
きるオードバイの水冷式エアークリーナーを得ることを
目的とする。

には、ハニカム状にした冷却フイン11が設けてある。ク
リーナーエレメント12は、筒体10を取囲むように設けて
あり、空気が内側から外側に通り抜けるとき、埃が過
される。クリーナーボックス9の前端には出口13を設
け、気化器5に連結する。カウリング7の前面には、ラ
ジエター14を前方に向けて取付ける。フレーム2の左右
のメインチューブ15は、第3図に示すように、複数の孔

下を防止できる。そして、冷却水路の配管は、一部フレ
ームを利用して簡素にできる。又、ハニカム状の冷却フ
インは、吸気騒音の洩れを防ぎ、静かにできる。
