The present invention has been made in view of such a conventional technical problem, and has a configuration in which a needle that has a needle thread and moves up and down, a chain looper that can have a chain looper thread, and a thread hole at the tip end are provided. In an overlock sewing machine in which an upper looper capable of having an inserted upper looper thread and a lower looper capable of having a lower looper thread cooperate to perform overlock stitching, the upper looper is in a non-formed state in which a key looper is formed. A needle hole attached to the lower end of the needle bar, the needle holes being individually attachable so that two needles are adjacent to each other in a side-by-side state; A needle stopper which has a needle hole which is located slightly eccentric with respect to the hole in the direction in which the work cloth is fed in the direction in which the work cloth is fed and which is orthogonal to the direction in which the cloth is fed; Overlock sewing of 2 threads, 2 types, Overlock stitching of three needles, 2 types, Overlocking of 3 needles, 1 type, Overlocking of 4 needles, 2 types, Overlocking of 2 needles, 5 threads This is an overlock sewing machine that can also be used for sewing, one type or double chain stitching of one needle and two threads.

Thus, according to the present invention, the needle stopper is provided with one or two needles switched to a predetermined position, and the upper looper is switched between a key looper forming state and a key looper non-forming state.
Furthermore, one of a chain looper thread, an upper looper thread or a lower looper thread
Eight types of overlock sewing and 1 using 3 or 3 threads
Different types of double chain stitches can be made. That is, the two needles in the side-by-side state can perform the overlock stitching # 514 of the two needles and the four loops using the needle thread of the two needles in the parallel state and the upper looper thread and the lower looper thread. Using one of the needle thread of one of the needles and the upper looper and the lower looper thread, the overlock stitch # 504 or # 505 of the single needle three thread can be performed to form the key looper, Overlock sewing of three needles of two needles using the needle thread of two needles in parallel and the lower looper thread # 509
Can be performed, using the needle thread of any one of the two needles in a parallel state, the lower looper thread and the key looper,
The overlock stitch # 502 or # 503 of the single needle and two threads can be performed, and the needle thread of one of the two needles and the needle thread of the other one of the two needles which are in a parallel state, Using the upper looper thread, the lower looper thread, and the chain looper thread, the overlock stitch # 516 of the two-needle five-thread can be performed to form the key looper and one of the two needles to be arranged in parallel. Using the needle thread of the needle and the needle thread of one of the other needle holes, the lower looper thread and the chain looper thread, the overlock stitch # 515 of the two needles and the four threads can be performed, and the other needle holes By using the needle thread of one needle and the chain looper thread, double chain stitching # 401 of one needle and two threads can be performed.

The horn 23 may be made of a steel material having a diameter of about 1 mm, but is preferably made of a plastic single fiber such as nylon. The reason is,
Plastic monofilament has a coefficient of friction with sewing thread, conformability,
This is because they are excellent in terms of wear resistance and the like, and are also excellent in elasticity and workability.

The base end of the horn 23 protruding from the base side passage 16c is held by a holding member 24 as shown in FIGS. That is, the base end of the horn 23 is sandwiched by a holding member 24 which can swing substantially in the longitudinal direction of the base end side passage 16c, and the holding member 24 is inserted into a screw hole of the bracket portion 25 of the upper looper 7. It is pivotally supported by the screwed hinge screw 30. Further, the holding member 24 is formed with an elongated hole 26 substantially perpendicular to the base end side passage 16c, and the through hole 25 of the bracket portion 25 is formed.
A small-diameter eccentric portion 27a of an eccentric pin 27, which is an operation member having a large-diameter portion inserted into a, engages with the elongated hole 26, and the eccentric pin 27 is prevented from coming off by a retaining ring 31 made of a C clip. Therefore, if the eccentric pin 27 is rotated in the forward and reverse directions, the small-diameter eccentric portion 27a
Is eccentrically rotated in the elongated hole 26, so that the holding member 24 is swung about the hinge screw 30 as a fulcrum, whereby the horn
23 can be moved back and forth in the longitudinal direction. And
A U-shaped positioning means 28 is fixed to a screw hole at the lower end of the side wall 14 at the center thereof by adjusting the inclination angle with a screw 32, and the holding member 24 is provided in the upward opening of the positioning means 28. Accepts the lower end. Therefore, the holding member
The operating position of the horn 23 obtained by advancing the lower end of 24 is
The inactive position of the horn 23 obtained by the holding member 24 abutting on the inner edge 28a on the distal end side of the positioning means 28 and the holding member 24 being retracted is determined by the positioning member 28
Is positioned in contact with the base side inner edge 28b. The change in the positioning of the working position and the non-working position by the holding member 24 is performed by loosening the screw 32 and adjusting the inclination angle of the positioning means 28 with respect to the side wall portion 14.

As can be understood from the above description, according to the present invention, an overlock sewing machine capable of performing eight types of overlock sewing and one type of double chain stitch with one unit is provided. The overlocking of the stitch # 514 which requires the arrangement of two needles perpendicular to the direction is also used as the overlocking of the stitch # 516 which also requires the arrangement of the two obliquely crossed needles. As a result, the function of the overlock sewing machine can be greatly expanded.
