In this embodiment, the hollow fiber membrane is configured in the same manner as the conventional example. Activated carbon powder is charged into the activated carbon case 3 side of the hollow fiber membrane case 2. FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of one of the hollow fibers 1 shown in FIG. When the powdered activated carbon is put into the hollow fiber membrane case 2 and water is passed from the water supply port 7 to the filtered water outlet 8, it becomes a state where the powdered activated carbon is applied to the bundled hollow fibers 1, and the powdered The activated carbon particles 6 adhere to the surface of the hollow fiber 1 as shown in FIG. 2, and the activated carbon particles uniformly adhere to the entire hollow fiber membrane. As the powdered activated carbon to be charged into the hollow fiber membrane case 2, a powder having a fineness of 90% or more at 425 mesh is used.

Actually, the effective area of the hollow fiber is 1 m 2 and the hollow fiber membrane case 2
10 g of powdered activated carbon is charged into the inside, and 50 g of granular activated carbon is sealed in the activated carbon case 3 as activated carbon for removing residual chlorine and the like. The hydrogen concentration was measured. As a result, the hydrogen sulfide concentration was 0.0112 mg / in filtered water when 10 g of powdered activated carbon was put in the hollow fiber membrane case, and the odor was not noticeable at all. On the other hand, in the case of conventional filtered water in which activated carbon was not put in the hollow fiber membrane case, the concentration of hydrogen sulfide was 0.0635 mg /, and the smell of hydrogen sulfide such as rotten eggs was generated.

Despite the fact that hollow fiber membrane filters have an excellent ability to filter general bacteria, they have been used for a long time due to the growth of general bacteria remaining after being filtered, an increase in water flow resistance, and the generation of foul odors. Could not be used. However, the usable time can be extended by the present invention, which greatly contributes to the spread of household filters using a hollow fiber membrane filter, and the practical effect is very large.
