2. Description of the Related Art Writing boards such as whiteboards and electronic blackboards have become extremely popular in place of conventional painted blackboards.
A so-called whiteboard marker using an ink composed of a pigment, a dispersant, a resin, a solvent and a release agent is used as a marker for these writing boards.

The handwriting by the whiteboard marker is composed of a colored layer mainly composed of a pigment and a resin, and an oil layer made of a release agent formed between the colored layer and the writing board. By wiping the handwriting with paper or cloth, the handwriting can be peeled off the writing board and erased. An eraser for whiteboard is known as a tool for erasing the handwriting. As a wiping portion of a conventional whiteboard eraser, many devices using a plain woven fabric such as cloth, a pile woven fabric, a sponge, a nonwoven fabric, or the like have been proposed.

The problem is that the erasing performance decreases over time. The handwriting of the marker for whiteboard is finely crushed at the time of erasing and becomes an eraser. This eraser residue is held inside the wiping portion of the eraser. However, if the erasing residue holding capacity is low, the wiping portion of the eraser is clogged in a short period of time, and the erasing performance is reduced.

If the handwriting is left for a long period of time, the release agent of the oily layer volatilizes, and the colored layer adheres to the writing board and solidifies. Therefore, the handwriting that has been left for a long time does not peel off with a light force compared to immediately after writing, and when the same eraser for whiteboard is used, the erasing performance of the eraser relatively decreases.

An object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems and to provide an eraser for a whiteboard which has excellent erasability and eraser residue retention for a long period of time. The gist of the present invention is an eraser for a whiteboard, comprising a plurality of types of fibers having different thicknesses.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. 1 and 2 are schematic views showing an embodiment of the whiteboard eraser of the present invention. Reference numeral 1 denotes a wiping unit. The wiping portion is formed by raising a plurality of fibers 2 having different diameters onto a base cloth 3, and the base cloth 3 is fixed to a base 4 of the eraser.

The fibers 2 constituting the wiping unit 1 are made of nylon,
Fibers such as polyester, rayon, Teflon, and acrylic can be used. The term fiber as used herein includes single yarn and twisted yarn. In order to raise the fibers, an adhesive is applied to the surface of the base cloth, and a mechanical flocking method in which a single yarn is planted on the surface of the base cloth by a method such as mechanical spraying or spraying, or an adhesive is applied to the surface. The applied base fabric is placed in a high-voltage static electric field, and other fibers such as an electrostatic flocking method in which a single yarn is jumped up in the electric field and planted on the surface of the base fabric are driven into the base fabric at a predetermined pitch and woven. A method such as pile weaving can be adopted. In particular, the electrostatic flocking method is preferable since it is possible to obtain a fiber having a higher adhesive strength, a higher density, and a longer fiber length than the mechanical flocking method.

[0009] The fibers 2 constituting the wiping portion 1 must have different thicknesses. This is because the small diameter fiber enhances the ability of the wiping portion to retain the wiping residue, prevents clogging, and the large diameter fiber imparts a strong rubbing force to the wiping portion. This is to prevent performance degradation. It is preferable to use 5 to 40 denier as thin fibers and to use 40 to 100 denier as thick fibers. This is because fibers having a denier of less than 5 deniers are inferior in raising properties, and fibers having a denier of more than 100 deniers may damage the surface of the board.

The thin fibers and the thick fibers may each have a single diameter or may have a plurality of diameters. The mixing ratio of the thin fibers to the thick fibers is preferably 60 to 97% by weight for the thin fibers and 3 to 40% by weight for the thick fibers.
This depends on the fiber material and length used,
When the thick fiber is less than 3% by weight, it is difficult to apply a strong rubbing force to the wiping portion, and the erasability of handwriting left for a long period of time may be inferior. This is because the gap becomes large, the erased waste cannot be held with sufficient strength, and the touch at the time of erasing tends to be deteriorated.

The length of the fiber in the wiping portion varies depending on the material and thickness of the fiber used, but is 3 to 7 m from the surface of the base cloth.
m is preferred. This is because when the length is 3 mm or less, the eraser residue retention is often insufficient, and when the length is 7 mm or more, it is often difficult to raise the hair properly. Also, it is not always necessary that the lengths of the fibers are all the same length,
Thick fibers may be shorter than thin ones, and vice versa, and the lengths may vary between thick and thin fibers.

The base fabric 3 fixes the fiber 2 and is selected according to the type and material of the fiber used.

The base 4 is the main body of the whiteboard eraser and is mainly used as a grip. Various materials such as wooden and plastic can be used as the material, and various shapes such as a flat elliptical shape as well as a rectangular shape can be adopted.

It is preferable that a soft substance such as sponge, felt or the like be interposed at the bonding portion between the base cloth 3 and the base material 4 because the touch at the time of erasing is smooth.

The eraser for whiteboards of the present invention has the above-mentioned structure, so that it has a strong erasing ability with thick fibers and a sufficient erasing residue holding power with thin fibers, so that the erasing performance with time can be improved. It is difficult for the drop to occur.
