Reference numeral 3 denotes batting such as nylon fiber, which is impregnated with ink. The ink used is an oil-based ink in which a white or yellow dye or pigment is dissolved using ethanol, ethyl acetate, toluene or the like as a solvent. As the metal compound, fine powder such as zinc carbonate and iron is used. Acrylic amide-based water-absorbing resin is used as the water-absorbing substance. To 100 parts of this ink, 20 parts of fine iron powder, 10 parts of phenol, and 10 parts of a water-absorbing resin are mixed, and the batting 3 is impregnated with the mixed liquid. When characters and the like are drawn on white paper using the marking pen 10 , the written characters are difficult to read because of the white ink. However, since the written ink contains a water absorbent resin,
It absorbs atmospheric moisture and oxidizes the iron powder contained. Due to this oxidation, iron turns brown and characters and the like emerge.

Parts by weight, 10 to 50 parts of metal powder and 0.1 part of phenol.
Almost good results were obtained when the amount of the water-absorbing substance was in the range of 0.5 to 25 parts and the water-absorbing substance was in the range of 1 to 25 parts. The same was true even when the yellow ink was used. As described above, it is difficult to read characters at the beginning of writing by using white ink or yellow ink and containing metal powder, etc., but the characters float due to the absorption of moisture over time. It is an interesting writing instrument that can be raised.
