(B) Conventional technology An air filter composed of a first air filter having a mesh fixed to a frame and a second air filter having a charged charging net and an activated carbon net integrated with each other is incorporated into an air conditioner. This is disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 60-74719. With such a configuration, the first air filter removes dust (relatively large dust in the room), and the second air filter removes granular dust (small dust in the room) and odor, respectively. I am trying to improve the air cleaning capacity.

(F) Embodiment The drawings show an embodiment of the present invention. In FIGS. 1 and 2, reference numeral 1 is a housing of an indoor unit of a separation type air conditioner, which is attached to a wall surface in a room. The housing 1 is composed of a machine body 2, an exterior cover 3 attached to the front surface of the machine body 2, and a decorative plate 5 attached to the cover 3 and having a suction port 4 on the front surface. Reference numeral 6 denotes a cross flow fan housed in the machine body 2, 7 denotes an indoor heat exchanger, and 8 denotes a drain pan arranged below the heat exchanger.

As shown in FIG. 3, the air filter member 17 has a charging filter 18 and a deodorizing filter 19 overlapped and wrapped by a packaging member 20. The wrapping with the packaging member 20 in this manner makes both the filters 18 and 19 difficult to peel off (the air filter member 17 is integrated) and is easy to handle.

Here, the charging filter 18 is composed of four types (same weight) of fibers 25 having different thicknesses. That is, the cross-sectional shape of the fiber is rectangular as shown in FIG. 4, and the lengths of the short pieces are a and the lengths of the long pieces are b, the dimensions are set as shown in the table below.

In this way, the cross-sectional area (thickness) of the fibers of the first filter 21 is the largest and the cross-sectional area (thickness) becomes smaller (thinner) in order of the second filter 22, the third filter 23, and the fourth filter 24. ing. As a result, the first filter 21 has the coarsest eyes,
The filters of the filter are becoming finer one after another. And the air flows as shown by the solid arrow. Therefore, the first filter 21 is on the primary (leeward) side, and the fourth filter 24 is on the secondary (leeward) side.

The air filter member 17 is sandwiched between the main frame 15 and the auxiliary frame 16 to form the dust collecting filter 14, and is housed together with the pre-filter 10 in the space 23 between the front surface of the exterior cover 3 and the back surface of the decorative plate 4. (See FIGS. 1 and 2).

Then, the room air is sucked through the suction port 4 of the decorative plate 5 and the suction port 26 of the upper surface of the exterior cover 3 by the rotation of the cross flow fan 6. Then, first, the pre-filter 10 collects the dust. Next, the room air from which the dust has been removed is guided to the dust collecting filter 14, and then this air is cooled or heated by the heat exchanger 7 and blown out from the discharge port 27.

Here, in the dust collection filter 14, the first filter (the fiber of the filter has the largest diameter and the electric charge density is large and the mesh is coarse) 21 collects the large-sized granular dust, Small granular dust is collected by the second filter 22, the third filter 23, and the fourth filter 24 whose charge density is decreasing in order. In this way, each filter 21,22,2
Particles 3 and 24 having different diameters are individually collected to prevent the air filter member 17 from being clogged quickly.

In addition, when air is sent only to the third filter 23,
The first filter 21 is superposed on the third filter 23 to form the first filter.
Comparing with the case where air is sent from the filter 21 side (all have the same thickness), the latter has a life of about 20% longer than the former.

When the air filter member 17 is clogged, the auxiliary frame 16 of the dust collecting filter 14 is removed from the main frame 15 and another new air filter member is incorporated in the dust collecting filter 14. The deodorizing filter 19 may be omitted from the air filter member 17.

(G) Effect of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, since the charging filter having a thick fiber is on the primary side and the charging filter having a thin fiber is on the secondary side, these charging filters are superposed and integrated.
The filter member is less likely to be clogged, the life of the filter member is extended, and the running cost can be kept low. Moreover, the thickness of the air filter member can be reduced by using the charging filter. Further, by integrating the charging filters, these charging filters can be easily taken out together when clogging occurs.
