However, in these conventional methods, after the fishing rod is formed, the fiber thread is wound and fixed with paint, an adhesive, or the like.
Since a tape impregnated with a synthetic resin of the same type as the fishing rod forming material is wrapped and heated under pressure to be integrally fixed,
Not only the manufacturing process is complicated and the cost is high, but also the weight of the yarn winding portion is increased and the gripping feeling is not sufficient, and in particular, the paint and adhesive fixing methods have defects such as lack of strength and durability. In view of these circumstances, the present invention simplifies the manufacturing process of a fishing rod having a grip portion by integrally forming the fiber thread shape of the grip portion by utilizing the thermosetting treatment of the prepreg at the time of manufacturing the fishing rod, and reduces the weight of the fishing rod. However, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a fishing rod which is improved in strength and grip feeling.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention wraps a mandrel with a prepreg for forming a rod tube in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin, and a fiber yarn is formed in a twill shape at the grip forming portion. After wrapping, the entire length of the prepreg is taped and subjected to thermosetting treatment by a conventional method, then the mandrel is pulled out, the tape is peeled off, and the prepreg impregnated into the prepreg that has hardened by overflowing to the surface of the wound portion of the fiber yarn is set. The synthetic resin is polished to expose the surface of the fiber yarn to form an uneven surface. Various types of natural and synthetic fibers can be used for the wound fiber yarn, and a thermosetting synthetic resin can be impregnated in advance as necessary. Further, polishing of the wound portion of the fiber yarn is performed by sanding with a sandpaper or the like so as to follow the unevenness of the surface to expose the surface of the fiber yarn to form an uneven surface.

The fiber yarn wound in a twill shape on the surface of the prepreg during the thermosetting treatment during the formation of the rod tube is integrally fixed to the rod tube main body by the impregnated synthetic resin of the prepreg, and the fiber thread after the rod tube is formed is wound. The convoluted portion has a surface shape and is polished to expose the surface of the fiber yarn, thereby forming an uneven grip portion that is easy to grasp.

To explain the details of the present invention, a rod tube forming prepreg 1 in which a reinforcing fiber is impregnated with a thermosetting synthetic resin is wound around a mandrel 2, and then a fiber thread 3 is formed at a grip portion forming portion of a base portion or a middle portion thereof. Are cross-braided in a twill shape and wound. Although the fiber yarn 3 cross-braided in a twill shape may be of the same type, as shown in FIG. 1, a flexible large-diameter fiber yarn 3 ', such as cotton yarn and nylon yarn, and carbon fiber. It is also possible to use thin high-strength fibers 3 ″, which are inferior in flexibility to the fiber yarns 3 ′ such as glass fibers, and the fiber yarns may be twisted yarns or bundles. In this way, the whole length of the prepreg 1 in which the fiber thread 3 is wound is tightly bound with a cellophane tape in a spiral shape, and taping is carried out, followed by heat hardening treatment in the same manner as in the conventional fishing rod forming means.
Further, after pulling out from the mandrel 2, peeling off the tape, and manufacturing the rod tube 4, the thermosetting synthetic resin impregnated in the prepreg which has overflowed and hardened to the surface of the fiber yarn winding part is sandpapered along the surface irregularities. Polishing is performed to expose the surface of the fiber thread 3 as shown in FIG. 2 to form the grip portion 5 having an uneven surface. By doing so, the thermosetting synthetic resin impregnated with the prepreg overflows into the mesh of the fiber thread 3 which is cross-braided in a twill shape and is in a hardened state so that the fiber thread 3 is applied to the rod tube 4 formed by the prepreg 1. In addition to being integrally formed, the surface of the wound fiber yarn after polishing is formed into a grip portion 5 having a soft uneven surface that is easy to grip. When winding the fiber yarn 3, it is preferable to wind a glass fiber scrim cloth 6 around the starting end and the ending end.

The present invention relates to a conventional grip by winding a fiber yarn directly in a twill shape on a prepreg for forming a rod tube which constitutes a fishing rod, and integrally forming the prepreg impregnated synthetic resin on the rod tube by thermosetting treatment of the prepreg. The manufacturing process is simpler and the manufacturing cost can be reduced as compared with the method of winding the fiber thread after forming the rod tube at the portion, and at the same time the weight of the fishing rod is reduced and the strength of the fishing rod is improved while the fiber thread is in a twill shape. It is possible to form an uneven grip-shaped gripping portion that is easy to grip. In the present invention, the thermosetting synthetic resin impregnated into the prepreg that has overflowed and hardened to the surface of the twill-wound fiber yarn winding portion is polished to expose the fiber yarn surface to form an uneven surface. The unevenness of the twill-wound fiber yarn gives the grip a soft feeling to further improve the gripping function and enable smooth and reliable gripping, and the reinforcing fiber of the prepreg for forming the rod tube in the grip. Can be prevented from being worn out due to wear or scratches during long-term use.
