2. Description of the Related Art A lightning arrester connected between a charged part of a distribution line or the like and the ground to protect electrical equipment from abnormal voltage such as a lightning surge generally has a low resistance when a high voltage such as a lightning surge is applied.
An element having a voltage-current characteristic of completely interrupting a normal ground voltage such as a distribution line, for example, zinc oxide (ZnO) is used as a characteristic element.

[0004] Due to the deterioration of the characteristic elements, the leakage current gradually increases, and if the energy during the lightning surge absorbing operation becomes excessive, the element starts to generate heat, and eventually the short circuit is destroyed due to thermal runaway, resulting in a ground fault. Occurs. Then, a relay or the like of a circuit to which the lightning arrester is connected is operated to have a great effect on the power system.

[0006] This separating device S uses a conductive plastic 3 having a conductivity selected so as to melt when the temperature rises to a predetermined value and to function as a heating resistor as a terminal holder, and a pair of terminals fixed to both ends thereof. A discharge gap G is formed between the metal terminals 4 and 4.

When an abnormal voltage such as a lightning surge is generated in the charging unit 1, the disconnecting device S releases the abnormal voltage to the ground 2 through the discharge gap G and the lightning arrester A. Also, lightning arrester A
When the leakage current is increased due to deterioration of the power supply and when the lightning arrester A is short-circuited, the upper and lower metal terminals 4 and 4 are separated by the self-heating, and the grounding to the power system circuit is performed by such an operation. It is intended to prevent a tangling abnormality.

However, the disconnecting device S has a problem that, when the conductive plastic 3 is blown due to deterioration of the lightning arrester A or the like, the arc generated at the fusing point is difficult to extinguish. That is, since the ground voltage of the charging unit 1 such as a distribution line is as high as several thousand volts, the cut ends of the blown conductive plastic 3 need to be separated by, for example, 30 mm or more for arc extinction, while the separated metal terminals are separated. 4, 4 are supported by a thick electric wire connected to them, and are usually separated by a small distance due to their own weight. If the continuation current is not cut off in this way, it is necessary to perform a return operation at the substation, and there is no point in using the disconnecting device S.

The disconnecting device S configured as described above is used to connect the lightning arrester A to the charging section 1 such as a distribution line or the ground 2.
It is used near the surge arrester A or directly connected to the surge arrester A, and when the conductive plastic 3A is blown out due to a failure of the lightning arrester A, the arc at the time of the blowout is surely extinguished by the action of the arc-extinguishing resins 5, 6. On the other hand, one of the cut ends is forcibly separated from the other by a predetermined distance, so that the following flow can be reliably shut off.

As described above, the disconnecting devices disclosed in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open Nos. 2-117083 and 2-117084 can be used in the vicinity of the lightning arrester A or directly connected to the lightning arrester A to use the conductive plastic. When 3A is blown due to lightning arrester A failure, the arc at the time of blowing is surely turned off,
Although the present invention has the effect of reliably blocking the downstream current, the present applicant further studied in the course of the development of the lightning arrester A that can be incorporated between the distribution lines at a narrow interval. As a structure directly attached to the lightning arrestor, a lightning arrester with a disconnecting device having the most preferable configuration has been developed and is provided here.

Furthermore, when this lightning arrester is used, the disconnecting device 30 is positioned substantially horizontally, so that the display unit 33 is easy to see from below, and when the conductive plastic 34 is blown off and separated due to deterioration of the lightning arrester 10, etc. The side of the cut end to which the display cylinder 46 has arrived moves to the display section 33 side by the tension spring 50, so that an abnormality of the lightning arrester 10 can be easily grasped. In addition, after the conductive plastic 34 is melted and separated, one of the cut ends (the side where the display cylinder 46 is attached) is forcibly separated by a predetermined distance by the tension spring 50, so that the subsequent flow can be reliably shut off. Can be performed safely.
