胸当部を広げて頸部に嵌め込めばよく、装着が簡単で、
頸椎部の固定も前記フックループ式ファスナー型接着テ
ープを分割顎受部と分割胸当部をバンド締めするだけで
よい。固定後、食事,クスリの投与等で顎部を動かした
いときは、フックループ式ファスナー型接着テープのバ
ンド締め離反するだけで簡単に対処しえる。頸椎部の前
屈又は後屈の調整も背部の2本のターンバックル型調整
支持杆の繰出し調整だ可能となり、又は調整支持杆を用
いない2点連結では複数個の連結孔の選定でよい。しか
も、左右側への側屈態様は、左右の連結片部の複数個の
連結孔のずらし選定で簡単に対処し得る。更に、寝姿勢
を取っても2本のターンバックル型調整支持杆が後頭受
部と背当板部の対向空間の両側に有るため(後頭受部の
真後にない)、調整支持杆に枕等が直ちに当らず後頭部
への圧迫が少なく楽に寝れる。勿論、ターンバックル型
調整支持杆の省略タイプでは前記圧迫作用はなく、且つ
後頭受部も細幅でもよく軽量タイプともなる。更に、下
部頸椎本体と上部頸椎本体の連結が、両側の連結片部を
互いに重ねる連結構造としたため、該連結片部を除く周
囲は実質的に大きな空間となり、通気性があり装着感が
楽となる等の効果を有する。
