In FIG. 7, in order to connect the toothed belt 53 to the housing 51, a stop plate 52 and two screws 54 are required, so that the number of parts is large and the number of mounting steps is also large. In addition, since the tooth profile of the belt 53 is crushed by the stopper plate 52 and deformed, if the toothed belt 53 is removed for repair, maintenance or the like, if the same portion is not fixed by the stopper plate 52 during assembly, the deformed tooth profile portion may be driven by the drive pulley. It does not engage with and causes incorrect reciprocal movement. Further, the toothed belt 53 is stretched by the tightening pressure of the stopper plate 52, and the feeding accuracy of the reciprocating movement is deteriorated.

In FIG. 8, a slide core for removing the mold of the tooth-shaped groove 58 is required in the mold at the time of manufacturing the housing 55,
Mold production costs are high. In addition, since the slide core of the tooth groove 58 is small and thin, it is easily deformed and worn,
Poor accuracy of the tooth profile or shortening of the service life of the mold.

<Operation> In the image input device, assembling of the reading unit 9 as a moving unit is performed by a driving pulley 37 and a driven pulley as shown in FIG.
And a toothed belt 13 as a drive transmission member, and a part of the belt 13 is provided with convex portions 40 and 41 as first and second support portions as shown in FIGS. And a toothed portion 39 serving as a third supporting portion facing these.
As shown in FIG. 5 (A), since the tooth profile 39 is formed in an R-shape, the connection between the teeth of the toothed belt 13 and the teeth of the tooth profile 39 together with the projections 40 and 41 is more reliable. Made, there is no variation in tooth contact.

In the image input apparatus 1 assembled in this manner, the reading position P of the reading unit 9 is at a reading standby position P1 which is retracted by a predetermined distance from the reading end position P4 before starting reading, as shown in FIG. That is, the reading unit 9 stands by at a position where the end surface 9a coincides with the reading end position P4.

That is, in this type of image input apparatus 1, even at the same original density, each pixel in the main scanning direction can obtain the same level of photoelectric conversion output due to variations in brightness of the light source 7 in the main scanning direction. Often disappears. Therefore, a variation in the photoelectric conversion output in the main scanning direction, that is, a white reference image having a white density is read in order to correct shading, and a variation in the photoelectric conversion output in the main scanning direction is detected in advance. The process of correcting the photoelectric conversion output actually read based on the data of the variation is performed. However, in the image input apparatus 1 of this embodiment, the white reference image is not provided outside but is provided inside the reading window 3. ing. Therefore, when starting to read, first
To read 25, move the reading unit 9 to the white reference reading position P2.
The white reference plane 25 is read at this position P2, and the photoelectric conversion output is sent to the outside.

Next, the reading unit 9 is moved to the reading start position P3 by rotating the stepping motor 36 in the reverse direction.
It is moved at a predetermined speed from P3 toward the reading end position P4. That is, reading of the document image in the sub-scanning direction is started. At this time, while the reading unit 9 advances one line in the sub-scanning direction, the reading unit 9 forms the reflected light reflected from the surface of the document 6 on the image sensor 8 by one pixel in the main scanning direction, and photoelectrically converts the light image. The output is sent to the outside as an image signal.

When the number of pulses reaches a predetermined number of times after the stepping motor 36 reversely rotates, the reading position P of the light source 7 of the reading unit 9 is read.
Reaches the reading end position P4, and the reading ends. Further, when the reading section 9 moves and the end of the protruding piece 23 provided on the reading section 9 comes into contact with the sensor 24, the sensor 24 is turned on, and the ON signal indicates that the reading section 9 has reached the standby position 1. This is input to a control unit (not shown) as a signal to be shown.
Therefore, this control unit stops the step motor 36.
As a result, the end face 9a of the reading section 9 is moved to the reading end position P4.
And stands by for the next document reading operation in this state.

(1) As shown in FIG. 5, the connecting portion 42 of the housing 45 has an R-shaped tooth portion 39 that meshes with the toothed belt 13 and the convex portions 4 on both sides.
0, 41, the toothed belt 13 is inserted between the tooth profile 39 and the convex portions 40, 41, and the toothed belt 13 is connected to the housing 45. In addition, the coupling can be easily performed without using coupling means, the parts cost can be reduced, and the number of steps for mounting the toothed belt 13 can be reduced.

(2) The tension of the toothed belt 13 and the projections 4 on both sides of the tooth profile 39
By using 0, 41, the toothed belt 13 was fixed to the housing 45 by applying a force for pressing the toothed belt 13 to the tooth profile 39, so that the elongation of the belt 13 and deformation of the belt tooth profile were eliminated,
The feeding accuracy of the reading unit 9 can be improved.

(3) Since the tooth profile 39 has an R-shape, the bending of the toothed belt 13 is absorbed, a greater pressing force is applied to a larger number of teeth, and the tooth is securely fixed, thereby improving the feeding accuracy of the reading unit 9. it can.

(4) Since the opening 43 larger than the facing surface of the tooth profile 39 is formed on the tooth surface side of the tooth profile 39, the mold on the tooth surface of the tooth profile 39 can be pulled out through the opening 43, and the slide core of the mold is formed. Is not required, and poor tooth profile accuracy can be prevented. In addition, mold production costs are reduced, and the mold life is prolonged.

In short, the present invention is directed to a reciprocating device for reciprocating a moving unit along a guide by reciprocating a driving transmitting member coupled to a moving unit. Has first and second support portions integrally formed on the moving portion and in contact with and supporting the drive transmission member, and is also integrally formed on the moving portion,
The first and second support portions are located between the first and second support portions.
And a third support portion for supporting the drive transmission member by sandwiching the drive transmission member between the first and second support portions.
An opening wider than a portion of the third support portion that is in contact with the drive transmission member is formed in the moving portion at a position opposite to the third support portion in the middle of the second support portion. ,
The moving part and the drive transmission member can be connected only by sandwiching the drive transmission member between the first and second support parts and the third support part,
The joining operation is easy, and when the joining portion is molded, the mold can be removed through the opening, and the production of the joining portion is easy.
