極とする。この渦巻き電極を負極ケースに挿入した後、
正極集電リード板4aを正極端子の内面部にスポット溶接
し、負極集電リード板5aを負極ケース内面の底部あるい
は側面にスポット溶接して、渦巻き電極の正極端子と負

〔考案が解決しようとする課題〕 従来の技術において、負極集電リード板を負極ケース

部にスポット溶接する方法は、渦巻き電極を負極ケース
に挿入後、渦巻き電極の巻芯を抜いた孔にスポット溶接
の電極を挿入して負極集電リード板を負極ケース内面の
底部に溶接するのであるが、この方法は負極集電リード
板の位置合わせや渦巻き電極の孔へのスポット溶接の電
極の挿入などの作業性の悪い工程が多い。又、(2)の
負極ケース内面の側面にスポット溶接する方法は負極集
電リード板の溶接を円筒型負極ケースの曲面の部分に行
わなければならず、確実な溶接ができなかった。その他
の方法として、渦巻き電極外面の側面部分をセパレータ
を介さず、直接に負極ケース内面に接触させる方法もあ

電極であり、帯状正極と帯状負極とをセパレータを介し
て捲回したものである。これを負極ケース3に挿入した
後、負極集電リード板5aを負極ケースのU字状の絞り3a
の部分に配置する。そして、正極集電リード板4aをポリ
プロピレンからなる絶縁ガスケット2と予め一体化して
あるSUS製の正極端子1の内側にスポット溶接した。電
解液を注入した後、正極集電リード板4aを折り曲げて、
前記正極端子ユニット(1,2)を負極ケース開口部に載
置して、この後負極ケースの開口部をカシメて封口す
る。このようにして本考案の円筒型渦巻式電池を作成で
きる。尚、本考案の円筒型渦巻式電池には、現在使用又
は提案されている防爆用安全装置を備えることができ
